Amanda is also a classist bigot who snubs customers that she feels are not bourgeoisie enough for her snobbish standards, which makes her no better than a common racist. Anyway, if you want the best art supplies for decent prices? Then I highly recommend Blick's, Jackson's, Ebay, or even Amazon over Amanda's overpriced inferior establishment. If you want your art displayed on the wall? I also recommend you display anywhere but at Blaine's, because no serious art buyer will ever see it at Blaine's and it will be displayed next to mediocre garbage art that not even a mother would display on a refrigerator door. Do you really want your $500 oil paintings to be seen next to refrigerator marker art that no one would even pay $10 for? I don't think so~

I went in with specific concerns about my neck and shoulders, which were barely addressed, and frankly, I'm vaguely pissed about. BUT the rest of my body got the royal treatment, which was amazing. But it was almost like she was avoiding my problem areas, which is bizarre... My honey said his massage was amazing and his massuer completely addressed all his problem areas. We'll definitely be back and I'll try to make sure I'm clearer about my expectations . I'm also looking forward to trying their tai chi 101 classes on Tuesday and Thursday. There are many highlights and advantages to PNA. The downside is there seems to be a lack of communication and transparency. Each teacher seems to set their own curriculum and classroom standards. Academics could be more challenging. No hot lunch except for pizza Monday's. Tuition is one of, if not the highest in anchorage. Overall is suits our needs as we are only here two years but we will definitely add some tutoring this summer to make sure our kids don't fall behind the lower 48's standards.

The owner and the primary instructor is a great teacher and I am already excited to figure out which class I am going to take next! We learned that there are going to be guest teachers at this space as well. They offer needle felting, welt felting, crochet, knitting, macrame... Basically the sky's the limit! There is an open studio on Friday to come and learn from other artists. This is truly a gem for Anchorage.

The space has many seating options - swinging chairs, big meeting tables, couches...whatever you're comfortable in Classes are chill and she definitely spends one on one time with you as needed. That being said she always asks permission before touching your art or helping, which I appreciate a lot. Felted wool, wet felting, knitting, crotchet, and other fiber arts can all be found here. She has guest teachers and classes constantly. Fridays are a stitch and bitch - bring your own project or your eagerness to learn a new craft. You can purchase take home kits too for $40 and they include everything you need to make a small friend. Definitely recommend.

The store is fully stocked with everything from cameras and lenses to tripods, memory cards, bags, and more. Whether you are just a beginner or a pro, they have you covered. They also have a good selection of reasonably priced used camera equipment. The staff really knows their stuff, and you can tell they actually care about helping customers find what they need. The downtown location is convenient, but be aware, parking can be a little tricky during tourist season. Stewart Photo is my go to place for all my camera rental needs!
