Leslie was so lovely, warm and accommodating with my being pregnant. The massage as incredible and she listened to all my pregnancy aliments beforehand so that she could adjust the massage accordingly. The massage was absolutely incredible. Not to mention she was an absolute miracle worker, as I walked In with my terrible pregnancy nasal congestion that I've had since day one of this pregnancy and was completely stuffed and blocked up, but by the end of the massage I was breathing clear with no stuffiness. I couldn't believe it. She also showed me the pressure points and massage techniques she used on my face to help so that I could do them at home to help relieve the congestion as well. As a first time mom, the LAST thing you want to hear from your doctor is "if your this nervous for a pelvic exam you're going to have a hard time delivering." She called me "heavy" multiple times. And at my 6 week post partum appointment she said to my face that I had a tough delivery, which I really didn't.. I only pushed for 15 minutes. Even my husband was not happy with her in the delivery room. She insisted on him taking a photo of her holding the baby when he has said 3 times that he didn't want one. Her office staff is amazing. Maria made me feel comfortable every time I saw and I was so excited to show her our new baby at our 6 week post parting visit. Overall, she is no bedside manners and is rude. We will never set foot in her office again.

I went to her 5/21/2024. She reviewed my history and had some concerns for my very early pregnancy (4weeks) . She gave me her concerns because of my past miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy but spoke more about me losing my baby rather than trying to see the positive. This was after she confirmed the baby was in my uterus. I didn't appreciate her negativity (which it felt like) but I understood what she warned me about. Her assistant called me to come in ASAP to check if my HCG levels were increasing. I told her assistant I was not entirely comfortable going because of the more negative than positive the doctor was focused on. Dr. Maria Pachon then called me to let me know it's safer to come in sooner than later because as of right now everything seems ok but eventually I may lose my baby because of my history, but as of now everything is ok. She refused to hear me out when I said she's being negative and said she wasn't she's basically being realistic. I reminded her "I UNDERSTAND AND UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING YOU TOLD ME ! Stop giving me good information then telling me but maybe eventually the baby won't make it" After every sentence she ended it with a reminder that I most likely won't be able to carry my baby. Any question, request, guidance needed - Stephanie was there. She made us feel no shame in asking the smallest questions. She was clear about when something was evidence-based vs her intuition/experience. She never pushed us to do anything and was always supportive of decisions we made. It was important to me and my husband to have a natural birth, which was my main motivation to hire a doula. Truly could not have delivered this baby without Stephanie (I mean, I would have, of course - but likely after much more pain and decisions I would later regret). She was with us on the phone (my husband, mostly) as soon as my water broke and she was with us in person by the time contractions got heavy to get us through the later stages of labor and the pushing/delivery process. Stephanie worked so in sync with the midwife and nurse on my delivery team - it took a village! In addition to Stephanie supporting me, she was also an amazing guide and support to my husband - equipping him with reading materials before delivery and coaching him on best ways to support me throughout labor and delivery. In the days after our baby was born, we talked to Stephanie every day. She visited us to make sure baby was latching properly, showed me some other tips and tricks for feeding, and has continued to provide us with guidance on feeding and pumping and all feeding things! From our very first meeting with Stephanie, it was clear how knowledgeable she is. She focuses heavily on evidence-based information, which was exactly how we wanted to approach decisions around birth. I became interested in attempting an unmedicated birth, although I was only about 60% confident I could actually do it. Stephanie never doubted me. From that point on, all of our preparation and meetings were geared toward helping me achieve that goal. She was always quick to respond to texts and emails and provided detailed, thoughtful information whenever we had questions. Stephanie also did an incredible job coaching my partner ahead of time so he knew how to support me during labor. In our prep meetings, she walked him through different techniques and ways he could help when things became intense. Because of that preparation, he was able to really play an active role during labor. Even during labor itself, Stephanie continued guiding him on how to support me in ways that were actually helpful in the moment. When things were very intense, she would gently coach him on what to do, whether that was how to help with breathing, positioning, or encouragement. If he wasn't sure whether something he was doing was helping, she gave him feedback and reassurance so he could keep supporting me confidently. That support for both of us made a huge difference. When my labor started, I was able to text Stephanie updates and questions and she was always quick to respond and help ease my worries. At one point she had another client in labor (which we knew was a possibility), but her backup doula came to my house and provided wonderful support until we went to the hospital. Stephanie met us there and immediately helped me focus on breathing and staying calm. The moment I'll always remember most was during the pushing phase. I was exhausted having been awake for nearly 36 hours, but Stephanie's coaching and encouragement made such a difference. Her reminders to breathe for the baby and "blow out the birthday candles for the baby," along with her steady counting and encouragement, helped me push through and ultimately deliver my baby the way I had hoped. One unexpected benefit of working with Stephanie is that she is also a lactation consultant. She helped us prepare for breastfeeding, explained how pumping works, and helped us troubleshoot breastfeeding our baby a few days after coming home. I didn't expect that level of support, but it ended up being incredibly helpful. Stephanie is incredibly knowledgeable and very honest. She gives you the information and may offer a recommendation, but she never pressures you if you decide differently. She's straightforward, fact-driven, and clearly very dedicated to her clients. Working with her truly showed me how valuable doulas can be. Stephanie was wonderful to work with, and I would not want to have another child without her by my side.

I called in February for an appointment and the earliest new patient appointment was scheduled for early June. Her offices are tastefully decorated and super clean. The male doctor is not very compassionate and has the worst bedside manner that I have seen. For my egg retrievals, the anesthesiologist was literally 3 hours late and I lost the entire lot. I got no apology and no refund. The doctor blamed me and said I had suboptimal fertility and refused to even do an implantation. I guess he didnt want to affect his numbers and thought that I would ruin his implant-to-pregnancy ratio. He made me freeze my embryos forcing me to pay storage fees and still would not implant. I ended up being forced to destroy the embryos. The staff was equally as rude and treats patients like liabilities. Look it is bad enough that we are going through difficulties getting pregnant, but they had no compassion at all. Well, fast forward to months later and a different clinic with much better reviews. I saw a better doctor who said my egg count was excellent. We got pregnant on the FIRST ATTEMPT. I am now looking at my little one. But it worked out and I was able to get in to see her. She has a small little office inside a one-level office bldg, across from the tracks in Englewood. The waiting room furniture was out-dated and unpleasant to the eye and very dimly lit, border line dark. Inside the examination rooms, which was small, and had this old clunky white wicker chair, was very ugly and odd that you would find it in a exam room -- it belongs on her patio or deck. Anyhow, I digress... She is very nice, down-to-earth, sorta has this disshoveled look; late 40s, full figured jewish woman, with thick full messy hair with her glasses on top her head, and wears her medical scrubs (not un-normal). She has a dry sense of humor, works well with mine lol. As for thoroughness - she asks all the questions and maybe even twice, to jog your memory if you are having a "senior moment". But what I didn't like was, I sent 20 pages worth of medical information. All her questions could have been answered if she reviewed them before our meeting. It would be nice, for once, if a doctor was up to speed on their patient walking in the door. Quality vs Quantity; Quality always wins in my book. But Money always prevails. She gets a 3 - 3.5 out of 5 stars. Ms. Janet Ross in NOLA still has my loyalty. Ms. Ross always called me personally, and if she was in surgery or delivery, her assistants did. I'm just one of those ppl who likes to hear the results from the doctor, just incase I have questions. Nobody likes to wait for a callback.
