if you are willing to wait anywhere from 2-3 1/2 hours to get paid $50 then enjoy. This place is consistently under staffed and overbooked.

Great Nurses, great OBGYN. But that's where it ends…read more As someone who works in the medical field if I could give zero stars as it relates to overall patient/family experience I would. L&D unit was busy, so we weren't able to get a room upstairs. I understand this as it can be busy. Everyone needs their care and I'm no one special. My wife was contracting every 2-2.5 minutes and we had to potentially wrap our mind around the notion she could not receive an epidural nor nitrous oxide per information provided by the OBGYN and nurse. Iv pain medication is all you can get. I looked around the tiny room, no "Christmas tree" was present on the auxiliary 02, no radiant warmer present, tight room, no suction canister readily available for women who are more prone to difficult airways and vomiting?? My wife looked me in the eyes and said "I am scared". As a husband, as a protector, one feels very hopeless quickly. It makes one wonder, what services if emergencies arise can this area withstand if various situations occur. Anyone who has any experience in obstetrical care understands how fast things can decline. We then were able to receive a room on the L&D floor and the anesthesiologist had zero patience with my wife. Came in the room and stated "would you like me to go over the epidural details or do you just want the epidural?" Isn't it standard of practice to inform your patient regardless of how many times they receive a treatment or intervention of their informed consent?? As a CRNA, I think so. This is not how I practice. Nonetheless, once my wife got the epidural it worked until her water broke then it did nothing. When the OBGYN had to the suture my wife, she injected various locations 2-3 times. Patchy epidural. Dumped a whole medicine cup of lidocaine on her private area for numbing.. Anesthesiologist who performed the epidural is educated at Princeton and Harvard. Goes to show, your education can lgood on a wall framed, but lacks bedside delivery of care. Wife felt nauseous, no emesis bags in the room. In an area where there is expected hypotension after epidural or spinal placement shouldn't something as simple as an emesis bag be present? I don't want to hear about short staffed, welcome to the work force post covid. Make it happen, you're taking care of pregnant mothers and their families. Do we not understand/recognize the most likely issues that can arise in a speciality and have necessary items stocked and prepared? I spoke with the anesthesiologist about my complaints, I respected the one on one meeting. However, he denied my initial interest in meeting post epidural placement. It wasn't until he found out I was an anesthesia provider as well that be wanted to meet. I made my concerns known and he stated his side. A pancake has two sides and I respected the dialogue. However, as an anesthesia provider one must ask was I treated differently because I provide anesthesia as well? If this is the "luxury package" what does the patient with low socioeconomic status with little to no insurance and who doesn't speak English receive as it relates to care? Shouldn't everyone get excellent care in an area where patient experience is the driving force for birthing a child? In summary, great nurses, great OBGYN. However experience was poor. I wouldn't recommend anyone to deliver a child here. Whole experience was anxiety filled, trauma filled and poor bedside manner by those who are to provide regional anesthetic techniques to keep my wife comfortable. As I was in the hallway, I could hear her in the room expressing her discomfort. This is an unfiltered, straight shooting, statement from an anesthesia provider who knows what really goes on behind the scenes in health care. I have not sugar coated nor fabricated any part of this review for the sake of my point. I wish I could have said our experience was different, but simply it was not. I've taken the time to explain this thoroughly to provide a complete experience so other patients can make well informed decisions when they decide to deliver at Cone Health Women's and Children. ZERO stars and this rating is generous.

Life Changing experience!…read more I don't write reviews, but with this experience I'm compelled to share. (LONG READ...BUT WORTH IT!!) My wife and I were truly amazed at how well our visit was at Cone Health Women & Children. The service of the staff from the time my wife was rolled into triage, to the moment my son was born, even up until we were discharged was an Overall AWESOME experience!!! The Nurses (Lauryn, Alex, Yivian) and Midwives (Lisa and Jamilla) were extremely helpful people that made this process 5 worthy stars. My wife was able to have a SUCCESSFUL VBAC after having to get an emergency c-section less than a year ago!! I was VERY against the idea of my wife using the synthetic chemical Pitocin due to past traumatic personal experience (in Houston, Tx) that a close family member had with the drug, which resulted in her having to get an emergency c-section for her first child...very scarring!! After discussing my concerns with the staff for almost 2 hours, and once I saw how in depth/detailed they were with their intentions, procedures, and genuine care for their patients, my wife and I agreed to give it a go. I realized that One bad experience shouldn't cause you to write off something that be stewarded in a better way. I could go on and on about the security/safety systems that are in place, the organization and structure, the staff professionalism (yet down to earth), the vallet parking, the modern atmosphere, but I'd run out of space... to sum it up it was a God-Blessed experience for my wife and I to be able to welcome our newest addition to the family!

Excellent customer support from everyone! The gentleman I scheduled with was so helpful; correcting my booking errors and had great patience and understanding. Lkisha, the phlebotomist, called the day before and showed up right on time. She is friendly, detailed, and very professional. I've had some difficult draws, but she has the knack. Did the blood draws for my Genova kit and was in and out so quickly. No lines, no waiting room, no driving in the 40 degree weather and I got my coffee and breakfast right away after fasting overnight! Win, win, win! Excellent service. Thanks so much!

I was not called back to be seen until 11:00 am, even though there were only 2 individuals in the lobby. The intake nurse was the rudest nurse I have ever encountered! The only question she asked me was whether I needed to be tested for COVID or the flu. I said yes, I think so. She never asked why I was at the doctor's office, what my symptoms were, how I was feeling.... nothing! She proceeded to swab my nose without any sort of explanation of what she was doing or what the plan was once I was tested. There was no discussion of the test whatsoever. I then waited another 30 mins to see a Nurse Practitioner. She came into the room and said, "I heard you were sick". Really?? I proceeded to tell her what was ailing me. She never touched me, never wrote anything down. Never examined me. From the symptoms I told her, she said she would call in some medicine to the pharmacy and any additional medicine if my tests came back positive. The medicine was never called into the pharmacy. I call the next day (twice) and still no medicine. This was the WORST experience I have had dealing with a doctor's office. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
