Leaving my home yesterday morning, not even going 5 mph, I hear a loud pop and the dash says tire is completely flat. Didn't hit anything, just coasting to the stop sign that's only about 20 yards from my driveway. I put in a roadside repair with State Farm and they come out and show my husband that there is nothing wrong with the tire and that, basically, Mavis didn't seal it when they put it on. He said all they did was put air in it and let it go. Take it to Mavis this morning, show the man at the counter the tire and rim, which is obviously scratched from the pavement where I had to get it off the road. He tells me and my husband they will take care of it at no charge and he will ask his manager about the rim. We leave it with them and about two hours later, I receive a phone call from a female employee that there is a nail in the tire and it will cost $35 to repair. I hang up, call my husband, who calls them and goes back and forth with them that a nail will not take the tire off the rim. He tells them to leave it alone and we will pick it up. I leave then to go to get my car and when I look in the back where the tire is, there is now a nail with a white marked box around it, but here is the crazy thing, the tire is now mounted back on the rim. Why are you going to mount a tire on the rim if there is a nail in it? Needless to say, corporate has a letter being certified mail Monday morning and the guy who came to fix it has agreed to give a statement that there was no nail in the tire.
