Bill's taxi is great. There are limited transportation options. I've used Bill's taxi several times in the past few years to go from the airport to West Elmira. They are always courteous and efficient about getting there. The Elmira Transit Authority has a bus that stops at the entrance to the airport on the way from Elmira to Corning and back (not sure why they don't turn into the airport and swing past baggage claim; instead you have to walk out to the street) and only costs a few dollars. However the routes are not synchronized to incoming or outgoing flights so it is only an option at certain times of the day and there is a lot of waiting. Taxi cabs may or may not show up so it is not worth it. Use Bill's taxi. It is the best option for the Elmira airport ground transportation. read more

Bill's taxi took me from Elmira Airport to my destination in Horseheads. The driver was very friendly and offered to carry my suitcase from the airport to the taxi in the snow. The mini-van was very clean. I thought the driver was very safe on icy roads. The fare was $17 to drive about 6 miles, but I've taken other taxi services to the same destination from this airport and that seemed to be the going rate. When I first arrived to the airport, I went to the other taxi service (Terks) and they told me that they had no drivers and suggested Bill's Taxi. I would recommend Bill's Taxi. Nicest people I have ever met. They were so helpful when I needed a taxi to and from airport and then to the dog breeder where I was picking up a puppy. They were so kind! They brought me a coffee, breakfast sandwich and three peaches from their peach tree. They were worried I wouldn't have time to eat breakfast before my appointment time to pick up my puppy. I swear I wanted to stay longer so I could get to know them better bc they were so genuine, kind, thoughtful, went above and beyond driving me to my places. I wish I could visit Elmira again just so I could see them! They are so reliable and FAIR. I worry they might get taken advantage of bc they're so sweet and trusting. Pls pls use this business. Bill's Transportation is the only service I use when I have to make a 6am flight. You can be certain they will pick you up and get you to your destination on time. I have also used their services to go to Syracuse, since they will go pretty much anywhere you ask. William is a little loud, and may sound angry or agitated, but he is a really nice guy who cares about his customers. Prices are not the lowest but your peace of mind is worth a few more dollars. When you have to make your flight, no matter the time of day or night or how bad the weather is, you can rely on him and his wife to get you there. read more

Rude and expensive, would recommend using other taxi services--it's worth the extra effort The drivers are rude, disgusting, and unsafe.They charge a lot of money and don't allow you to split the cost with others. You could easily save 50% by calling some other tax company that is just as reliable (i.e. Totem taxi service). Bill was recommended to me by a friend, who had nothing but raves for his driving ability. He drove me to and from Logan Airport for a recent trip. He was at my door to pick me up on time, collected me and all my luggage at Logan after waiting for my arrival. His driving skills are excellent. He made me feel right at home in his car. Got me where I wanted to go but was a terrible experience. What should have been a 15 minute experience was 45 mins+. Was late for pickup, and then took a wrong turn that had me and my fiancé stuck in traffic. Will 100% not ride again. read more
