RENT ELSEWHERE! *I…read moreunderstand this is now owned by Jeff Hoffman, NOT Bill.* On January 9, 2017 my family and I went on vacation in Lakewood, WI for several days. We planned on snowmobiling while we were up there. The lodge we were staying at recommended Twin Bridge Four Seasons Snowmobile Rental in Crivitz, WI. Out of our large group, three of us made arrangements to rent snowmobiles from this company for two days. I verified the two-day rental with the store when I made my original reservation in December. While I was travelling up to Lakewood I called ahead to pay for my rental by phone. I spoke with a woman who told me it was $175 per day for a two-person snowmobile rental. At that price, the total cost was $369.25 including tax. My father picked up the snowmobiles the afternoon of January 9, 2017. When I arrived at the lodge, my father informed me that the Twin Bridge Four Seasons majorly overcharged me. He spoke with the staff there and got me a refund of $152.98. He was provided with a receipt documenting the refund. My father and I returned the fully gassed and oiled snowmobiles before 8:00 am the morning of January 12, 2017 per the request of the business. After I returned home that evening, I checked my credit card statement on my phone and noticed that there was no refund processed. I also saw that the total amount charged to me for the snowmobile rental was $611.90. I called the business and spoke with an employee Bill. Bill indicated he was the previous owner and that things had gone downhill since the new owner, Jeffrey Hoffman, had taken over. Bill had confirmed that the price of a two-person snowmobile was $175 per day. Bill agreed with me that I should have only been charged $369.25 for my rental. He said the $152.98 refund, which I received a receipt for, would take approximately one billing cycle to process on my credit card. Bill admitted that he does not agree with the way that Mr. Hoffman does not process credit card refunds immediately. I decided to contact Capital One to dispute the additional charge of $242.65. On January 13, 2017, I spoke with the owner of Twin Bridge Four Seasons, Jeff Hoffman. He stated that my original refund would take approximately one billing cycle because that was how he always processed credit card refunds. His excuse for charging me more than the standard $175 per day was that I had not placed a down payment on the snowmobile I rented. There was no discussion of any sort regarding a down payment or deposit when I reserved the snowmobile. Mr. Hoffman failed to explain exactly how he came up with the price of $611.90. I informed him that he could removed the original refund as I was disputing the additional charge of $242.65 to my credit card. Mr. Hoffman was complacent in our conversation and seemed to feel as though he did nothing wrong. In addition to the issues that I ran into, I think it is important to mention that this business owner also overcharged my cousin an outrageous amount. My cousin, however, chose not to dispute the charge. Mr. Hoffman also rented a defective and unsafe two-person snowmobile to another couple in our group, who he overcharged as well. They are currently working with an attorney regarding their situation. Ultimately, the refund of $152.98 did go through, and my credit card company decided to handle the remaining $89.67 overcharge for me. It is very clear to me that Mr. Hoffman has some interesting business practices, to say the least. I would strongly suggest anyone in northern WI who is looking to rent a snowmobile or other machine to stay very far away from this business, and Mr. Hoffman.

Our pontoon boat was adequate for our size family, 7 adults and 2 toddlers, and the boat was extremely clean, a must for toddlers. Thank you for the wonderful addition to our fabulous family vacation.
