    Veggie bowl
    Dennis B.

Found this place for breakfast this morning. Had the avocado toast, which was great. Saw they had a veggie bowl with ancient grains for dinner and came back since its close to my hotel. So glad I did as i try to wat clean, and this is real food. Delicious and satisfying.

There are not many obvious places in Hammersmith unless you venture off the beaten track, so Bill's is a welcome addition as an easy and convenient meeting place. It gets surprisingly busy on weekday mornings, especially during this beautiful summer. Unfortunately, outdoor seating is limited (and only some in the shade with most of it in full sun) and it feels a bit sad to be ushered into a dark cave in July. They are not really encouraging snacky breakfasts and don't offer any pastries. Luckily afternoon tea options of scones or teacakes are available, but feel like a bit of a cop out. They mainly seem to cater for the weekend brunch market with an extensive menu of more substantial options. On the last occasion my friends and I decided to stay on for lunch and the set menu seems good value (at £12.95 for two courses this comes in at just £1 more than if ordering a main a la carte - I enjoyed my almost-free Eton Mess even more!). The food looks fantastic and is tasty, just not WOW. Staff seem a bit all over the place and service erratic. It just isn't anything like the original Bill's in Brighton and everything like your average premium high street chain restaurant.

Pancakes so good I started eating them before I took the photo..

Went here twice for breakfast while staying in London for 3 days. The pancakes are amazing, made with buttermilk and with blueberries inside and on top. Coffee is pretty good too, and the staff are great and atmosphere a perfect antidote to the grey weather outside

The service was great the place was beautiful, it had a rustic country theme which I loved. The food was ok the pancakes were tasty but a bit hard but the bacon was delicious I would eat here again for sure. Loved the pink lemonade, very tasty!!!

Bill's is a good place to go when you wan to grab a quick bite or just don't know where to go. The interior is quite nice and the food is tasty but it's not a very inspiring place. It's a big food chain and you can feel it in the atmosphere but fortunately my expectations weren't high and I just wanted to quickly eat something in the neighborhood. Personally I find the prices quite high for what you get, although my chickpeas and halloumi salad was quite nice and it was a lot for a starter. I'd just rather spend my money in a nice and unique restaurant than in a restaurant you see everywhere, but that's my choice.

English breakfast with beans and potatoes!

The first time I went there it was a year ago for a dinner with a friend. The food was quite nice so I decided to go back for breakfast and I had exactly what I wanted: a good English breakfast with beans potatoes bacon and tomatoes. And everything was cooked as I like it! They also have loads of other choices for breakfast (even pancakes) so I am sure anyone can find what they want. And it's breakfast the whole day! So no pressure in regards to the time! And it's quite well located. This restaurant is right at the exit of the tube station (hammersmith and City line) or 1 min from the other tube station for the picadilly line. So good location good food I would recommend!

First real English meal and what an impressive beginning to the trip!…read more Service was so friendly and efficient in a relaxing and casual ambiance. The dishes we got were sooo hearty and reminded us of comfort food. REBELLION BEER BATTERED FISH AND CHUNKY CHIPS Crispy layer of beer batter with just enough salt and pepper to go with the tender bite of fish. The chunky chips were crispy on the outside and had a bite similar to mashed potatoes, so delicious. The lemon tartar sauce went very nicely with it. That fresh squeeze of lemon juice over everything was just Chef's Kiss. SLOW ROASTED LAMB RUMP The lamb was roasted for six hours in red wine and shallots for a delicately, earthy flavor. The meat just melted in your mouth with every forkful. The lamb was served on a tasty bed of fluffy, garlic mashed potatoes. The red wine sauce drizzled on complimented everything perfectly. RIBEYE STEAK Classic steak done right with all the right searing and flavoring. Every bite was juicy and delicious. The roasted vine tomatoes were a great touch. The fries were done English style, so tasty. All I can say is: so English and so damn good.

Ingested Broken glass!! Do not eat here!…read more Last Monday morning I went to meet a friends for brunch. I ordered a bottle of water and the server brought glasses for the table. I was served a glass with shards of broken glass at the bottom! I didn't notice that the glass I had been served was chipped and poured my bottle of water into the glass. When I finished drinking I had pain in my mouth and pulled out several sharp small grounds and shards of glass which had cut up my mouth and lodged themselves at the back of my jaw. It was absolutely horrifying and very painful. I spoke with the manager and he apologised saying the cups they use are made of recycled glass and are prone to chipping!! I was horrified. Management knows these cups break easily and are knowingly endangering their patrons. I told them how dangerous this was and told them to pull all the glasses off the floor and check them immediately. We were the only customers in the restaurant at that time but all the employees were just standing around looking confused. He offered to call an ambulance which he then said refused to come so I had to take myself to the hospital and spend the day in A&E and then home observation for the week. This experience has been so distressing. It has been a week now since this incident occurred and shockingly no one from management, owner or their legal has contacted me to follow up. The manager had requested that I emailed them to let them know how I was doing and to follow up and have received no response or acknowledgment they have not even offered a formal apology, or compensation of any kind. Not even a drink voucher (not that I would use it) No gesture of respect for the risks to my health or trauma they have caused. This is the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant! As a local I pride myself on supporting the wonderful restaurants of Chiswick but I just can't believe this has happened. Im just glad I wasn't dining with my children could you imagine if my six year old had drunk from this glass. There are so many amazing restaurants in our neighbourhood. In the interest of your own health and safety do not dine here!

I can only speak for the cocktails but seriously....isn't that REALLY what matters?…read more I have such hard cocktail boners for this place. Seeing as my husband is a mixologist, it sort of ruined cocktails for me. I know better now. And Charlotte's drinks make me swooooon. Not only does the bar staff have a direct hand in sourcing and selecting all their spirits, but they also write their own cocktail menu (updated every month) and even create some of their ingredients in house...including their bloody mary mix. YES. My hubs fell in love with their Illegal Negroni. I had the One Nest for Two and the English Country Garden. If you don't see something you like, their bartenders will make something up. A true cocktail lovers bar. And with its laid back, candle-lit vibe and chill music, it's definitely a few notches cooler than any spot on the high road.

Honestly the only place to go in west london.. Perfect for pretty much any occasion - cocktails…read morewith the girls, a family Sunday roast, a first date, a birthday.. Amazing food and cocktails.. The menu changes on a fairly regular basis to reflect seasonal produce but pretty much every dish I have tried here has been amazing. Also: Make sure to try out their Gin school on a Monday night as well, they have the gin distillers introducing you to the ingredients and distilling process of their brand while you enjoy a complimentary G&T or gin martini!!
