We tried the Conchiglie pasta with scallops, asparagus, and bufallo cheese and the duck breast with carrots, cherries and feta cheese. Both came with deliciously creamy sauces. The buffalo and feta chesses gave the dishses a rich flavor. Total damage was EUR 40 for two entrees and two non-alcoholic drinks. That's not cheap, but not overly pricey for Frankfurt either. The interior decor was so-so. They have some kind of chair-theme going on, and you can even buy the chairs that are listed on their menu. Ironically, I didn't find their seating very comfortable. We also didn't like that they don't have an English menu on hand. That would be an easy thing to fix, if they wanted to... Reservations for this place are recommended as it gets quite packed on weekends and eve of public holidays.

We had to start with the classic French Onion Soup au Gratin, which was served with a thick layer of cheese and was piping hot. Great way to warm up on a rainy evening. Our server suggested I try the Shrimp Salad with green beans & avocado. It seemed like an odd combination of ingredients, but oh was I wrong. All the flavors and textures popped. The butterfly shrimp were incredible. As someone who loves Mussels, I met my match with the entrée size bowl served in creamy white wine sauce and with french fries. I made a gallant attempt to finish it, but fell short. It was a feast and cost only 34 Euros. My daughter met her match with the French Minced Potato Casserole au Gratin. Super rich and delish. The portion was huge, almost appropriate for family style dining. I wish I could bring this restaurant back to the United States.

My husband does not drink much and I don't want to drink a whole bottle by myself, so we ordered by the glass. The pour was tiny; more like a pairing pour. I was going to mention it, when he poured again. So, I thought maybe it was a regional difference in service. When the bill came, they charged for every tiny pour. I don't know if this is a house policy or if the waiter made that decision. It didn't ruin the evening, it was just the only disappointment. You decide if that matters.
