The Bilbao airport is small and so is the duty free. However, it has all the basics you would expect in an airport duty free store. I wanted to spend my euros before I got on the plane and bought some local chocolates and alcohol. read more

There's a parking garage below as well. The first two hours are free. Vans, H & M, a sun glasses store, a candy store, Tattoo and Piercings place, and a bunch of other places. There's also a movie theater here and a few sit down restaurants and a few fast food places. There is a supermarket on the lower level as well which is very convenient.

We bought groceries as we simply can't eat out all day every day after two months. And of course sweet treats. We visited the cafe twice mid afternoon for their tapas selection focussing on salmon with honey, red pepper stuffed with spider crab and sardines all of course sit on sliced baguette. Add a strong beer then a cafe con leche and it's a complete late lunch. Fresh is key here so it's a tad more pricy than some places. The times we were there we were the only English speakers. If you don't know much Spanish and find tapas choices (pintxos here mostly) then this place is a good start to help you navigate. Lots for meat lovers too. The staff work incredibly hard but still manage service with a smile. The WiFi wasn't working both times we were there and there are restrooms convenient to the cafe.
