Went here last weekend, because my sister is a keen mountain biker, plus they have walking tracks too! The reserve also has a playground, swings, a climbing dome, a basketball hoop and a huge field, which would be great for soccer, cricket or just running around. Perfect for kids, but also for adults (like my sister and I) that still enjoy a good playground! There are two tracks for mountain bikers, short ones, but still pretty fun. They also have two walking tracks, one that follows the mountain bike track and the other is a short steep walk (but good for those thighs!) up to the Grey Lynn Community Library. It is definitely a great short-cut if you live in the area! Only negative would be that the park backs onto the motorway, so quite noisy, but once you block out that noise, it is bliss.

Back to the track not bikes, the track is very well maintained and has such nice scenery.It is so nice to just drive out there and spend the day in the forest hitting some jumps and having fresh air.There is bike servicing,Cafe and lots of seating area inside and outside last of all there is a hose and cleaning products to clean off your bike after while the dirt or mud (if you even have any on your bike) is still wet.

I was given a map when I bought my pass which showed all the trails (and their difficulty level). I think I biked around 10km (covered some Nature Valley trails and Big Mumma, before returning to the carpark). I found it to be a good workout with the hill work, and I liked that any jumps were graded by difficulty level also (aswell as there always being a bypass option). There were a lot of helpful and friendly people out on the tracks, who were only too happy to point me in the right direction, and fill me in on the most suitable track. It took me awhile to get used to all the exposed roots, but I did find it really fun. I particularly liked one new trail on my return to the carpark, that was like a BMX track. And I will end this review by saying I did somewhat spectacurlary come off my bike about 5 minutes from finishing, in some loose sand... But I was able to bike out without having to call the Emergency Response number written on my wristband! On site there is a cafe, bike servicing, lots of helpful staff and plenty of outdoor seating. In the carpark there was even an area with a hose and cleaning products to clean up your bike.

The service is non-existent. I like to think that this is actually a futuristic museum without tour guides, showcasing cheap warehouse bikes, that is just ahead of it's time. Three staff members sat around, keeping their heads down, and a fourth barreled past me without saying a word. I didn't see a lot in the way of accessories other than the usual helmets and locks. This could be an adequate place to purchase your first bike if you can attract any of the staff members attention.

Not only was the selection poor (I was after a USB rechargeable tail light), the prices were HIGHER than the locally-owned bike shop down the street AND I was downright ignored while in the shop (okay, slight exaggeration - one man asked me, "Do you know what you are after?" and when I said "Yes, a bike tail light" - he vaguely pointed me toward the back of the store). Worth a visit just to look at the bikes. plus the mechanics are top notch and very helpful, even if they send you away saying 'no mate, you don't need it'. Utterly professional. Only issue is the name Rouleur - it always takes me about 5 goes at typing it in to google to get it right :-)

Total "D*cks". Stay away and go to the 95% of bike shops out there that have integrity.

When I returned to pick up my bike it had been cleaned and rode much better than it had been. I hadn't purchased my bike from the shop, but that didn't matter and the staff were flexible with the actual day I picked it up. We already had the old frames but they needed things like new tyres, chains, handlebars and tape etc etc. I love the selection of handlebar tape/grip that they have here, while it is a little expensive they have such a wide range of colours it was so fun to choose. The staff are really great, when we needed specific products they didn't just try to sell us the most expensive option they took us through and showed us the entire range and told us what would be most suited. We have had them completed for a while now but the other day my tyre went flat and I needed a new one so I went back and they sorted out a deal for me, I bought the tyre which they fitted and they gave me a free gear tune which was really great and only cost $40 all up. I love this bike shop I will always come here for my cycling needs.

Being a bike geek, I had a lovely time drooling over the amount of carbon and shiny bits and bobs on display even though all I really went in for was some accessories. I nearly walked out with a considerable dent in my wallet but managed to side step the advances of a clued up shop assistane. If you are serious about your riding then Bikelab has a lot to offer, but if you are looking for a general day to day city run about at a bargain price you should probably look elsewhere. At the time of writing they were having a massive bike sale, with some real bargains to be had.

Bikelab is pretty pricey and the few times I've been in there I found some of the staff members to be a little stand offish. They certainly have some really really nice bikes though. Their Cannondale bikes are really pretty and I'll openly admit that I get a bit googly eyed every time I walk past the place. I also like the way they push cycling as a culture, organising group rides and mechanical instruction sessions for those interested. Those kind of things make a good bike shop. I just wish the place was a little more accessible.

Had my 4 year old son with me and the workers were cursing etc in front of him, and they were pretty rude so I decided not to go back. Last week however, I had to get 2 spokes replaced on the rear tyre of my bike so I dropped it off at T. White's because it was close to my work. All good dropping it off and the employee was relatively helpful, but then I received a text that my bike was fixed and the cost would be $60. Insane price for 2 spokes in my opinion. I came to pick up my bike the next day and a different employee was there arguing with another customer that the shop shouldn't have to replace some component that had broken on a bike that she had recently bought. The employee first ignored me and then looked at me in an unfriendly manner as if I shouldn't be in the shop so I had to explain to him that I was there to pick up my bike. I once talked to a Galapagos tortoise at the zoo that was more personable than this guy. After paying the exorbitant price for 2 spokes I asked for the receipt which he handed to me with a nice glob of grease on it. I know this is a bike repair shop but come on, get a rag! Even though my bike is fixed, I cannot recommend this business.
