People complaining that the chef was too much experimenting with the food, or that smoking is no longer allowed. I was here with an English friend and we were both amazed and said we would definitely come back. Great staff, and the owner came over to chat with us. Excellent food. Wonderful atmosphere. Yes, I this place is not modern. It has an 'after the war' feeling in a very positive way. Although they do have Wi-Fi :-)!

This Stew was probably some of the most tenderest beef I've ever had in my life. It practically melted in my mouth and the gravy was wonderful. Being from the US all that extra gravy would have been great with mashed potatoes but their standard side is an order of French fries. I'm glad we followed our gut on this one, pun intended, because this will go down South far as the best Flemish Stew I've had on our trip so far.
