The WiFi was pretty good and there was room to set up my laptop. Totally loved the shower! You know those water saving shower heads that shoot three little jets of water at your skin at high velocity? This was definately not one of those! A nice wide, square modern shower head, at a good comfortable height and a soothing gentle torrent of water were what greeted me in the morning when I went to take a shower. So nice to have a great motel shower for a change. All in all this was a really nice place. Wouldn't even hesitate recommending this place to anyone! It is so nice when a motel just gets it right!

This was the first time staying at a motel in Sydney, but it came with a mini-fridge, hot water kettle, toaster, microwave and serving ware for two. On check-in with the friendly Aussie reception, we received a pint a of milk for our tea. Free milk? Even if we are out in the mountains, this is a civilized place ;) Oh and the hot breakfast was amazing. Motels in the States are quite different, but to be fair, the room prices were much closer to a lower end hotel. Make sure to ask about WiFi password, and how to turn on the electric blanket before reception closes. It was unseasonable chilly, and were too lazy to figure out night reception, but luckily we got the radiator to work. FYI, the phone didn't connect to anything, but we (typical Americans) had a good laugh at the STD line sign. Turns out STD stands for the state run telephone service. Definitely recommended!

After looking at reviews on other platforms, I wasn't sure as to what we would get as it was less than $100 for a couple. I have given it five stars as, for the price, it more than delivers. The room had a microwave, fridge and tea making. There were soaps, shampoos and lollies on the bed. It was clean, warm with a comfortable bed. The TV and internet worked. The bathroom was clean, big and the shower had hot water. It was also very quiet. However, it is an old style of motel with its chips on the cupboards and tiles. If those things are a worry to you, you can investigate staying over the road for 4 times the amount. It also had the added bonus of being just a couple of minutes walk to the Three Sisters. Parking near Three Sisters is ticketed and limited. The fellow at the motel behind the counter was also very helpful too! I did miss out on buying a voucher for this place. It would have included breakfast for the same price.

For the first few days, I slept and had food delivered, and it was just what I needed. As I started to get well but was still contagious, I was able to sign into my own accounts on the SmatTV and even work at the table and desk provided nearing the end of my stay. While the room was small, it was comfortable and just what I needed. The housekeeping provided items I needed as well, leaving them outside my door as I was still contagious, including a toaster, a change of towels, extra tea and shampoo as I ran out. Thank you, Zig Zag.

We used to stay here a lot. It used to be ok, a great base for exploring Leura and surrounds. Every…read moretime we go back it seems to get worse. The rooms are so dated and tired. We just stayed in 233 after requesting to move from 230 because I'm pretty sure the air con in that room was the same one Noah used on The Ark. The water pressure in the shower is abismal. The room just felt dirty, the bathroom needed an urgent update and our upgrade to a "spa room" really only afforded us a bathtub with some jets that boasted that nice orange mould which just screams "let me blast you with my bubbles" right? The breakfast is really average so having it included in the room price is really no benefit. There are so many lovely cafes in Leura, Blackheath and Katoomba that you're much better off saving your $15 and spending it elsewhere. If you're going to spend as little time as possible in the room then it will suffice. If you want a romantic getaway or are keen to relax in your room with a glass of wine after a long day then there are plenty of other much better options in the area.

Bathroom was very basic but the shower had good water pressure. Upon request they gave us a pet friendly room with its own courtyard for the dog. On top of that they had some dog treats in the room waiting. Nice touch. The restaurant had all the atmosphere of a gymnasium lavatory but the food was great. The wine list was limited to surrounding areas. If you want the room to be a feature as part of your holiday then stay somewhere else but if it's just a place to sleep then it's better than some other places I have stayed.

A one bedroom typically rents for about $189 AUD, but we were able to talk them down to $125, which is the cost of a studio. I'm guessing they agreed because it was in the winter, which I'm guessing is their low season. Anyway, it's a great deal for the price we paid. Each apartment comes with a bedroom that either has a portable heater or electric blankets. The bathroom has a hot tub. The spacious living room is heated. There is a small kitchen with plates, cups, bowls, and cutlery. There is a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker and water boiler. Basically, the kitchen is fully stocked. You can also leave your luggage there and pick up later should you want to explore the little town more on your check out day. I would definitely recommend Leisure Inn Spires to anyone who plans to visit the Blue Mountains. And an added bonus, the train station is right across the street and there is a hop on hop off bus stop for the Blue Mountains within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It's hard to ask for a more convenient location than this.

We each had a towel, pillow, bed sheets, and a blanket, as well as a few heaters in each room. The bunk beds were okay, a few of them were really squeaky. Showers turned warm quickly, and we're fine, but there's lots of dead black bugs hanging around the shower floor, no idea where they came from. You get 2 showers, 1 toilet (all stalls), 2 basins for about 28 beds (14 bunks). There's a really big communal dining area between the girl and guy rooms, which you have meals in. The ladies who prepared the food were really nice and hospitable, and all the meals were warm and delicious. We were given entertainment - radio, TV, and there were two giant jigsaw puzzles that my class tried (and failed) to solve after two days.
