THIS COMPANY LIES! Owner and salesman Dean promised me that my farm fencing would be done by Friday, Some work was done during the week, Friday came and no one showed up to finish the fence. No one called me to say that it would not be finished. I called and was AGAIN promised that Saturday it would be done. AGAIN, no one showed. I called back and was told I would have to wait until Monday. I called TWICE Monday and was PROMISED that workers would come and finish, by the salesman Dean and the OWNER who was also present. I came home from work and no surprise, no work had been done. Flat out lied to three times. I have an animal rescue and needed the fence done for rescued animals that were to arrive Saturday. I cannot express how difficult it is to find housing even for one night let alone 4 for farm animals. It ended up costing me thousands and put undue stress on already stressed out animals. This company is not reputable and cares so little about their customers that when I called to complain, Dean hung up on me. AVOID THIS COMPANY, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS GETTING YOUR MONEY AND GIVING YOU LIP SERVICE. DISGRACEFUL! read more

I spent almost $5,000 to have this company install a fence. They did not get a permit or request a survey to make sure the fence was placed properly. Years later, after I contacted them, they did get a permit. They said they thought we were in Orlando city territory. We are county. I found out the fence is 5 ft. onto HOA property. Lisa A. in the office told me they would move the fence at no charge. After some time, she had Dean in SALES call me to deny it's their responsibility to get a permit, request a survey from the owner, and to tell me, rather impolitely, they will NOT reposition the fence. He also stated this is what he was told by Kenneth Aldrich, the owner of the company. I am a disabled senior and this is a real problem for me. Not a great first impression. I contacted Big Sun about a quote for a fence, which they provided promptly. Upon following up however, the woman I spoke with was rather curt when I explained I was attempting to narrow down my options. The fence I got a quote for was a $10,000 PVC fence; that in itself isn't the main issue. The issue from my perspective was that when I asked if there were alternative construction materials that would maintain longevity at a lower cost, and that couldn't provide an exact budget as I was crippled & had been reset to square one financiall, her response was to tell me to go shop around elsewhere or to get a loan. Coming from a background in retail before being crippled, this is very poor customer service. She didn't even attempt to retain the sale or to provide alternatives. Perhaps they do enough business to where maintaining a $6000 to $10,000 sale isn't important, however the customer service I received tells me a thing or two about how they see their potential customers. read more

Terrible service from the word go. The fence was non-functional at installation given there were gaps so large that my Dutch Shepherd could effortlessly crawl under. If my dog can get out then it stands to reason other animals can get in. My request to have the fence lowered was met with much resistance but eventually they complied with my reques (at least partially). Two weeks later when tested by a short thunderstorm an entire section of the fence fell apart, and other sections hung on by a thread. The company won't tend to their terribly constructed fence because the "damage" was weather related. The fact that the fence is poorly constructed and unable to survive one small storm is just an opportunity for Big Sun to make money on repairs. I do not recommend them at all. Do better Big Sun Fencing. And yes, I have the right company. read more

This company is completely unreliable. I had an automated driveway gate and and some small fencing done early January 2020 (original installation date was supposed to be early December- but due to "weather" and the project manager giving me the run-around every week, installation was done over a month later). Once the project was "complete" the remaining payment was requested- my mistake for paying them before laying eyes on completed project. The fencing was installed in the wrong area and the stain on the gate was incomplete. They came out weeks later to finish the stain and correct the fencing. Now after only a few short months the automated gate no longer works. After multiple conversations with them they say they will try to get someone out to repair it however it has been over 6 weeks and still no one has attempted to eschedule a repair visit. My last interaction with them ended in them saying "we will call you right back." ... it has been weeks! Wouldn't hold your breath for this company. read more

They call them and explain what they did and got the response, sorry nothing we can do. Way to stand behind your work but I guess if your are doing shoddy work why would you stand behind it. My chain link fence installation was finished 8-9-2017. I had paid in full, but notified the company within 2 days that a couple of fence post were loose. I spoke to the allege owner, and she assured me they would be repaired within 2 days. A week went by and no repair, I called back again. It was assign to Tim to repair, and he assured me next week, he would personally fix it. As you may realize, he did not show up either. Another week went by and nothing again, I called this time and spoke to Jessie, again the same promise, of fixing it next week! A week went by and nothing once again. Jesse finally said the tech would be he Thursday 9-21-2017, in the morning. At almost 12 noon I called and spoke to Katie, and told me Jessie had mentioned NOTHING to her and that she would find out and call me back. From my complaint on 8-11-2017, a lengthy 6 WEEKS HAS PASS! It is quite obvious that everyone has been "BS"ing me, and jerking me around for 6 WEEKS. I am a handicapped senior, that is unable to do the work myself. I now must strain my budget to hire someone, to repair Big Sun's faulty workmanship. We recently discovered that their team installed a fence post on top of a sprinkler head. I called to notify them of the issue and was told it is not their responsibility because "no one knows where their sprinkler heads are" and they only check for underground utilities. If that is the policy and the way business is going to be done, they should notify homeowners of this ahead of time so the customer can prepare for installation by marking these things. They recklessly installed a fence without consideration. Crappy customer service and irresponsible Installation! read more

Stay away from them. They gave me a quote and then when they came to install they found out the quote would not work because there were trees in the way and they did not include tree boxes. They also installed a fence with the brace in the wrong direction. They also dug through my irrigation system even though I reminded them one was there. Owner claims no way to tell but duh, turn the system on and watch the sprinkler heads pop up. I also asked for a spare board to be place on a corner and they refused to do it even though I said I would pay extra. Owner was rude and even sent a man to check out my complaints. That man agreed that there were problems. Big Sun finally sent check for $450 to cover irrigation system damage repair. But not the repair on the fence. Contract read that they would take down existing fence but it is still there and will rot and cause other problems. Owner said he would do nothing else because I did sign that job was done but these problems did not occur to us until after install was complete. He was very difficult to work with and I would not recommend them at all. read more
