We called management and they then disclosed that the owners friends decided to come to the home early and they couldn't kick them out due to the home already being rented. Management then said we had to find a new rental (this was literally upon arrival without telling us ahead of time). Like hell my friends and I were going to book another property through Ascend. We scrambled and found another home like I said previously "day of" that would accommodate us for our trip. Ascend ended up paying us back the money but they should have also paid for our new rental as it was appalling that we had to scramble to find new accommodations upon arriving at their trashed rental property that we were supposed to be staying in.

Which is okay. After all, we had a long day of travel and just wanted to get settled and cleaned up. That being said... The house (Gallatin Gateway... with the Hot Tub in the picture) was big and accommodated three families (14 people) children ranging from 2 - 9 yrs old. We were pleased with what we had. We didn't need to clean up on arrival which is usually the case. The appliances are satisfactory. The views were amazing and there was enough room for everyone to be comfortable. Overall, we were in a good spot. Visiting Yellowstone and Big Sky made this house in Gallatin Gateway a perfect spot.

We had a bad experience at the home that we rented with them so we sent them an in-depth email asking for some sort of compensation. They ghosted us didn't respond at all. After multiple people from our party continued to text them, they would FINALLY respond via text and said they sent an email to us and to check our spam box. No email ever came. We keep Trying to get a hold of them and they are dodging. Super unprofessional and I do not recommend this company whatsoever. If I were the owner of this company, I would be reading all of these reviews and taking them seriously as well as having a in-depth team talk with my employees in addition making major changes within. Hands-down, don't recommend. Book with another management company!

BEWARE: Canceled Holiday Booking Raises Serious Questions About Transparency…read more Our group of 16 is now out nearly $14,000 extra because Natural Retreats canceled our confirmed Christmas booking with just two months' notice. While that's bad enough, the real issue for future travelers is the company's troubling lack of transparency. We were told the house was "sold." This isn't something that happens overnight. It leaves you with serious questions: - Did they know the property was on the market when they took our money and confirmed our booking? - Why did they fail to protect our confirmed reservation as a condition of the sale? - When we were left scrambling, why did they refuse to help cover the massive price difference for their other properties, or even make a small exception on a 5-night minimum to help us out? The entire experience felt less like an unfortunate situation and more like a calculated business decision where our family vacation was deemed acceptable collateral damage.My advice to other travelers: Before you book, ask them directly if your property is for sale and what happens if they cancel on you. Because a "confirmed" booking with this company might not mean what you think it does. If you are booking a trip that involves non-refundable flights, I would seriously reconsider.
