Adequate service but sloppy or dishonest business…read more I bought two pairs of glasses from Helena Vision Center. The glasses are okay, but I was told that they do not accept my vision insurance, and that I needed to pay cash, which I did. Later I found out that not only do they participate in my insurance plan, but that they filed the claim and the claim was approved. I do not know if they collected the insurance money. When I complained, they promised to rectify the mistake, but they never did. In fact they sent me another bill. Later they simply refused to talk to me. "Someone will call you later". No one ever called. So I am out the money that my insurance covered, $500 to be exact, and they refuse to correct the situation. I have no other recourse but to take legal action.

I woke up one morning and could not see out of one of my eyes. I was scared and I called Montana Eyecare to get an appointment. I explained the situation to them and they told me I would have to wait 4 months for an appointment. I had never cancelled an appointment and had always paid my bill on time. I called Mountain View Eyecare, where I had never been, and they were able to get me in the next day. They were compassionate and professional and I am so glad I found them. I would never return to Montana Eyecare if they were the last eye dr. in Helena. Strongly recommend AGAINST going to this business. I give this office a 0/10.

I had been a customer of Elkhorn Vision for a number of years and also have brought my 4 children…read morein each year just before school to get an eye exam. 3 out of 5 of us have to wear glasses/contacts. I had a co-pay of $4.00 that I was given a call about 7 months after my visit. When I asked for the bill to be mailed to me the person I spoke with said it wasn't worth the stamp to send it, but would email it me, and sent it to me on 04/21/17. I then received another email on June 2nd saying they were going to send me to collections for my $4.00 co-pay. The thing that upset me was that I have been a client of theirs for a number of years, and to send me a nasty gram via email for $4.00 has caused me to seek eye care somewhere else. It was the principle behind it. I could have paid when I came to see them in August I have never not paid them. The other thing that was upsetting was they had told me was that I would be refunded for the contact fitting that my daughter had, but because she was so young was having problems getting the contact in. When I said I didn't want the money back just the ability to get it done this coming year she said they couldn't do it. I do not like being told one thing, and then another months later. The doctor is great, but the fact his staff is allowed to treat long standing paying clients this way speaks volumes.
