I first went to Big Shots a year ago and had a blast shooting. Everyone was real nice and their gun selection for rentals and sales was fantastic. They also carried 9mm for a fair price, which was a bonus. Visiting them today, I'm glad the excellent atmosphere hasn't changed. First actual shooting range I've ever been to, but this place was awesome. Clean, well-stocked in many different firearms. Lane rentals are 20 dollars an hour, and for a novice includes a handgun, ammo, earplugs or earmuffs, safety glasses, and paper targets. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Dayle, the older gentlemen, ran me through the basics of firearm operation (I'd only fired a pistol once before, and that was definitely without instruction). Everyone else was suitably strict with the rules, but still friendly. It was a great time. I went with some friends and rented a Beretta M9 9mm and a Springfield XDS .45, which were both fun to shoot. My hardcore shooter friends also brought their 5.56 AR15s, which were a blast. Took my husband here for a few hours of shooting and I must say I am impressed!!!! The store and range and very well maintained!!! Super well lit. The staff is super knowledgable and friendly always willing to help and show you around or make recommendations. You must watch a range safety video and sign a form before shooting which is good. Range master is on duty at all times on the range so safety is their number one concern!!! You can rent guns but you must buy ammunition from them for that weapon. Which is isn't a bad deal. I literally cannot say enough good things about the fine folks at Big Shots! Jim and Terri are excellent proprietors and from the friendliness and ability of their staff it is clear that they place a heavy emphasis on customer service. In addition to the range, their selection of firearms and accessories is superb. I've bought several guns from them and their prices are at least competitive with other stores in town if not the best, which they frequently are. Big Shots features league shooting, which I intend to get into someday, "date night", which sounds great except that my wife is not a firearms enthusiast, and modern, up-to-date facilities. They also have "ladies' nights", which I think is a great idea for females who like to shoot. I took my concealed carry class at Big Shots and was very impressed with the knowledge and ability of the instructors. I love Big Shots!! After shooting at the NRA range in Virginia I thought it couldn't get any better than that, but I think this place is actually nicer. The range is modern, clean and well-managed by the safety officers on staff. The staff members in the shooting range were helpful and I think they would be very courteous to someone new to shooting and needing guidance or instruction. In the main lobby we were impressed by wide variety of guns available to rent. The mandatory "safety video" -- required viewing for all first-time shooters -- was very well done and professional. I was traveling on business and decided to stop in a evaluate some guns for purchase and they were wonderful. They explained the features and functions on the guns I was looking at (they have a very large rental selection) knowing the entire time that I can not purchase from them. The place is clean and well lit with a friendly feel. I shot three guns at their range and they were helpful and instructive for me as a rookie. I was there for the first time & while I have only been to a few, it is by far the nicest I have ever experienced . New, spacious facilities, great equipment, a gun store, safety instruction and really nice people to deal with. Everything you could ask for & reasonably priced at $20/ hour. read more

This is how an indoor pistol range should be run. Range Safety Officers are on duty at all times. Shooters are given clear instruction as to which stall they are to shoot on. My only gripe is that they do not allow .308 Win on the weekends. I might be more understanding of this restriction if it also applied to .223 Rem. read more
