Egg Rolls - A good portion of mini egg rolls which were delicious. Hainanese Chicken - This is a comfort dish for me. And this was perfect. Moist and flavourful chicken. Didnt expect to see yellow seasoned rice, but it was perfectly seasoned and balanced. The broth was refreshing. The ginger-spice paste was something ive not had with other hainanese chicken where usually there is a mixed dark sauce with minced spices like ginger garlic etc. I think this spice paste was a little too strong, but the good thing is you can choose how much you want. I do prefer the "magic sauce" prepared to just pour over my food, but this is not a deal breaker for me and probably something others probably prefer. Will definitely be back for pho and update the review.

I've heard a lot of good things about Pho Ga Go, so I was honestly surprised to see some lower…read morereviews. I decided to give it a try for myself. Unfortunately, it was pretty disappointing. Pho Ga Go currently operates inside Crab Hut in Mira Mesa from 10 AM to 2 PM. Their menu mainly focuses on chicken pho with different cuts of dark and white meat. They also have Hainanese chicken and rice, vermicelli bowls, egg rolls, spring rolls and desserts. Weekly specials can be found on their Instagram. They even sell some of their sauces to take home. We arrived around 11:30 AM. The line wasn't too bad. You order at the front, receive a table number and find a seat while they bring your food out. We ordered the #2 shredded dark meat chicken pho, a side of noodles in broth, the Chen Long (Chicken Innards, $4) and the #4 Hainanese chicken and rice. I will say the prices were pretty reasonable! With all the hype, I was expecting it to be a little more expensive, especially since it started as a pop-up. Service was a little mixed. The front counter service was okay, but the food runners were much more attentive and friendly. One thing that confused me was that we were a party of three but only received two waters, so we had to flag someone down for another. Our food started coming out in about 10 minutes, but the dishes arrived at different times. The Hainanese chicken and rice came out approximately another 10 minutes later. The biggest disappointment for me was the pho broth. I was expecting something savory yet refreshing, but it was overwhelmingly salty and lacked depth. It tasted very one-dimensional, almost like chicken stock with extra salt. Even with the garnishes, I couldn't really find the flavor I was looking for. There was a generous amount of chicken, although quite a bit of skin as well, which comes down to personal preference. I will say the chicken itself was really good! It was juicy and tender in both the pho and Hainanese chicken and rice. The Chen Long was probably my favorite thing we ordered! It came with chicken giblets, hearts, gizzards and liver served in broth. I really enjoyed the flavor and appreciated seeing something a little different on the menu. Unfortunately, the Hainanese chicken and rice was another letdown. The chicken was juicy, but everything else fell short. The ginger and green onion sauce was just okay. It lacked that fresh, aromatic ginger flavor and the little kick I was hoping for. The oil also had this strange woody, almost stale taste that I didn't enjoy. I'm not sure what caused it, but it really took away from the sauce. The rice was even more disappointing. It was extremely dry and cold, which made it difficult to enjoy alongside the chicken. I really wanted to like this place, especially after hearing so many good things. I appreciate that they've expanded from a pop-up and found a more permanent lunch setup. The prices are reasonable as well. However the food just didn't deliver for me. I personally wouldn't come back or recommend it based on this visit.

Their pop-up restaurant moves around to various venues, like wineries and breweries. The service was very good, and Chef Taylor (owner) and his staff were super friendly and open to my feedback. We tried the Old Yeller ($14), a Wagyu beef hotdog served with chips and a sweet pickle. We also tried a bowl of their Wagyu Homestead Chili ($12), topped with cheddar cheese and jalapeños. Their menu primarily focuses on Wagyu burgers, but we had eaten a large breakfast, so we just wanted to try something smaller. I enjoyed pairing the chili on my chips with the red wines we were tasting. We enjoyed everything we tried, and I would love to check them out again to try a burger. I recommend that you follow them on IG ("eatparlor") to see where they'll be popping up next.

Having Tisoy Curryative Cuisines cater our wedding was THE best decision we made. My husband and I…read moreswitched caterers about two months out from our wedding as our previous caterer wasn't meeting our expectations and were getting nervous with their respond time as we were quickly approaching the big day. We reached out to Tisoy as we came across them before and saw that they serve locally and their food looks delicious. We were hoping they would have our wedding day available and thankfully they did! Chef Matthew was very responsive from when I first inquired leading up to the wedding day! It brought such ease to our minds, that we didn't want to miss out on this opportunity, we booked right away! They were so kind and made sure that our wedding day would go smoothly. For cocktail hour, of course we had to include the pork lumpia into the mix. Giving that our family is filipino and our friends love lumpia, we doubled up the amount of lumpia for cocktail hour as we knew those would be a hit. and they were indeed! They made them fresh on the spot which my guests loved because it consistently had a good crunch to it! My guests were even waiting for the servers at the bottom of the railing because they just couldn't wait to eat more! haha It's been about two weeks since our wedding and we are still hearing such great feedback on our food selection! The most talked about was the Macadamia Crusted Salmon and the Huli Huli Chicken! Leading up to the wedding day, people kept telling me to make sure to eat because couples tend to not eat their food because they get distracted. But there was no way that I wasn't going to try Tisoy! We ended up with some leftover food that we were able to take with us, and my husband and I were stoked to be able to eat more of it! Chef Matthew and Ornella even walked up to us to personally congratulate us, and was able to have a conversation with them as well. They are such amazing and kind people, and their staff did amazing as well. We are so very grateful and thankful that we ended up with Tisoy as our wedding caterers. I really wish I can give more than five stars! We will definitely cross paths again and will have to go to the events that they are posted up at! Tisoy Curryative Cuisines, Maraming salamat! The vibe was cute and laid back and the service incredible. Despite the fact that it was very busy, the food came out really quickly. They also have a young man who plays jazz piano there every Sunday, so the ambiance is pretty awesome along with the nice weather. I also had a matcha ginger thyme latte with oat milk which was just tasty since ginger is a rare flavor in coffee drinks. I loved it, and it was so good that I took an extra one home. The service is amazing, and on busy days you may have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. If you have any questions about a dish, don't hesitate to ask!
