Things are changing in this corner of the metro area. The historic buildings but more so, the vast…read moreland spaces of the old railway yards are giving birth to the current modern style of shopping precinct. One day it could be imagined it will join up with the home hardwear section to the South, and there will be a kilometre long stretch of capitalist opportunity. It's unfinished yet but the basics and more are here to make this the go to spot for those in the local area. While it's new and expanding it's even worth to come here from further away every once and a while. There us a chance it will have shops not in your area. We can see this easily becoming a 5 star rating when it is completed. But, for now, we will certainly be back.

There are two supermarkets inside as well as a green grocer, newsagent, banks, post office, Service SA, chemist, sushi place (and some more takeaway across the car park), phone shops, electronic shop, clothes shops, optometrist, key cutters/shoe repairs... and probably more. They've managed to get an awful lot in here. There may not be any local organic coffee places or specialty boutiques inside, but that's not really what we're judging here. This is a shopping centre, a place you go to get all your odd jobs done along with the grocery shopping and it meets that very well. Buses stop right in front, there is ample parking and another shopping centre just across the road if there happens to be something you've missed. Also, special mention goes to the wooden bench right near bus stop 17. I have no idea why, but this is the most comfortable park bench I have ever sat on!

This is thrift gold! Sparkly shiny gold! Round she Goes stall holders have a lot of designer labels on their racks. But also some home made beauties. You will find everything from shoes, jewellery, handbags, hats, roller skates to vintage kimonos. After rummaging through some stock, I came across some super cool Oneteasppon shorts, some Evil Twin dresses and a pair of Mink Pink rose jeans! I only spent around $50 for all of that! Yeehaa! If you are coming to this event, be sure to get there early. You need to beat the crowds to get the good stuff. Remember, when it comes to vintage gear, there is only one of each item. But, there is definitely plenty of gear for everyone! This is also a great opportunity for lovers of fashion to sell some unwanted clothing. You can apply to be a market stallholder via the website. I am actually thinking of holding a stall next time! With only a $2 entry fee to pay for entry, you can save big bucks on designer pre-loved gear. Love this market so very much!

I had a chat with the owner who said he's been here for 10 years and there's always something different coming into the shop - item wise...people wise too I'm sure - but there's also a regular trickle of people coming in to have a browse. There is so much paraphernalia and it's not big bag territory either as every step you take there's something in front. Old war mementos, glassware, even one walk duck, old photographs and stacks more. Again, if the SA Film Corp ever needed stuff for sets or props, etc they need to come here unless they've already discovered it! Anyone wanting to create a theme will find bits and pieces to suit but no baroque shabby chic stuff here though and sorry no chandeliers. The shop is open Tuesday to Sunday roughly 10am - 3pm.

All of it tends to be on the cheaper end of the scale and there are plenty of wardrobe basics such as leggings, track pants, plain socks and T-shirts. But you can also find some really cool stuff that you just wouldn't see anywhere else. As the name suggests, this is not high fashion, and the store reflects that. The venue is underground and very little has been done in the way of decorating. It is not a place for the claustrophobic shopper. However, prices are cheap, there is a lot to choose from and the owners have never judged me for buying 16 pairs of bed socks at once.

So very cheap. I think it is aimed at a younger market of girls - teenage - who buy something, wear it once, then come out to buy something new. It's actually a feasible thing to do when each dress costs $10. There's some good stuff hiding in here though. Some of the styles are quite original, if you like patterns and lots of colour (which I conveniently do!) You'll have to be patient though - it takes effort to haul your way through the tightly packed racks, especially if you want something above a size ten (again, my suspicions about all the teenagers they're marketing at who are mostly a size 6.)

A beautiful black dress for only $30. I couldn't ask for much more. Unfortunately it's not always like that. The store is incredibly small. More than one person in the store and it gets crowded! No joke, it's insane! It's also really hard to look for clothing items. Everything is on a couple of racks and really close together. You have to search through everything until you can find something. Considering how small the store is it's very well stocked. It's just too much of a hassle to shop there. They also only tend to keep sizes 6-8. If you're lucky you will find a bigger size, but it's pretty rare.

In order to be able to shop at Costco you pay an annual membership of $60/$5 a month - very affordable. I love that because you don't have randoms filling the store looking around or hanging out like you do at most shops. Here you have serious shoppers. In saying that, there are times that are worth avoiding if possible, mainly the weekend. Just look at the parking lot and you get a clear idea how busy the warehouse will be. Costco offers shoppers bulk buy deals. If you simply can not store 48 rolls of toilet paper for ($20-27 dependent on the brand) or 8 boxes of tissues for $18 then this is not your kind of shopping. Yes, the trolleys are huge and need to be based on larger product quantities. Don't look like a learner driver and bring in a Coles shopping trolley! Get used to the warehouse environment and bigger aisles. The shopping at Costco is MORE than just food. You have electronics, appliances, house ware, clothing, shoes, prescription glasses, care tyres, jewelry and even furniture. The deals available at Costco show savvy customers how much margin the general stores have and that sales at a grocery store are just a ploy not a fact. In my first shop I saved on the following verses shopping at Woolworths: At COSTCO vs. WOOLWORTH'S Costco - 6 pack of Tuna 425g cans = $22 Woolys- 1 can of tuna 425 = $5 (on sale) (Save $8) Costco - Coconut oil 900g = $14 Woolys - Coconut oil 300g = $6 (Save $4) Costco - Cacao powder 1kg = $17 Woolys - Cacao powder 250g = $6 (Save $7) I also save on eggs, milk, meat, cheeses, bacon, juice, frozen foods, veggies, shampoo & conditioner. You WILL save. And if you don't need that much of something split the bill with a family member or friend! Lastly, there are no plastic bags to put your bulk items in. There may be some leftover cardboard boxes to use at checkout and be more earth conscious than the grocery stores. Enjoy the experience but please don't be confused. COSTCO is not a grocery store. It is a warehouse with good deals and NO condescending commercials like the two main grocers pay millions for annually - so why do you think WE SAVE SO MUCH!! Thank you Costco for no commercials!!!

I mainly pop in here for their Target, which is one of the better Targets I've been into. But other than that there isn't really too much that stands out. You'll find everything you'd expect at a small suburban shopping centre, like a newsagency, small bakery, and supermarket. It's easy enough to cross the road with your trolley and head to Northpark, so there's nothing stoppin you from shopping at them both.

DO NOT go in the toilets - they are filthy and the cubicles have broken locks. The centre is dark and on a rainy day the roof leaks. Recently several shops have closed making the range of shops in this centre even more limited - it is very hard to find nice gifts or clothing here. It is such a shame as this is a nice area of Adelaide and should have a better quality of local shops.

With a chapel-inspired shaped door, this op shop is fantastic with prices and good stock. Rows of wooden racks displaying women's clothing, men's clothing, kids clothing and vintage tops are aplenty. I spotted some pretty evening dress shoes, most going for under $10. Am sure most ladies can relate to how expensive shoes are nowadays. Expect to find lots of Mummy groups here as they dive into kids international brands, such as Pumpkin Patch, Esprit and Gap, all going for great prices. I spotted plenty of vintage furnitures and stunning bric a brac pieces. This has got to be one of the cheapest op shop in the city. Bring a bag or two to stock up at your next visit. Caution: Highly addictive!
