Ice cream selections

We arrived with a short line in downtown Laramie. The servers worked quick to satisfy our needs for ice cream on a Sunday afternoon. 2 cups of ice cream and a strawberry shake. It was really good! We were told it was best ice cream in Laramie -- big crowd and the workers handled it exceptionally! The line moved so quick as it was out the door. Will return when I visit Laramie again!

Super cute little ice cream shop located in downtown Laramie. One of many additions I've seen since my last trip to my beloved hometown. The decor was simple but cute. I got a pistachio ice cream in a sugar cone. There is an assortment of flavors including gelatos, shakes and sorber. The ice cream was by far one of the best I ever had. It stood out from other ice creams because you could taste the creamyness and it was overpowered by extracts and food dyes. You'd have to try to understand. I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't voted the top ice cream spot in this little town.

PB cookie dough

Was not planning to get an ice cream until I passed by the Big Dipper and read the available flavors. The staff were very welcoming so I know I will get a scoop of ice cream even if it was not amazing. The flavors that caught my eyes were PB cookies dough and PB chocolate chip. I tasted both and went for the cookie dough mainly because they have delicious cookie dough pieces in the ice cream. The PB flavor was not as strong as I'm used to with Sweet Cow (in Colorado) so I might have already had high expectations. Overall a nice place to grab a treat and they have a lot of flavors so you will probably find one that you would like. Here is my rating: PB cookie dough: 8/10

Sweet venue with an open floor plan, great staff, and yummy ice cream! The black raspberry with cherry truffles in it was great! Butterfinger ice cream was also good! Would recommend as a spot to sit and relax and enjoy the views of downtown. Reasonably priced and good selection!

One of my favorite places. Plenty of parking, good prices, never too crowded, plenty of options, can sample flavors ahead of time, a good view, and perfect for ice cream dates/ treating yourself. One of my favorites years ago was the cookie monster - blue vanilla ice cream with cookie pieces :) Always wanted to try one of the daily soups here.

Awesome store- nice employees, and lots of good flavors of ice cream. The seating is okay and the decor is unique and nice to look at, including taking pictures for the Instagram.

You have to try this place if you are ever in Laramie. It has a classic old school ice cream shop look. The best part is the owner makes Ice Cream, Sorbet, and Gelato fresh every morning. She is probably the nicest person you will ever meet. She listens to everyone, talk to everyone, and if you have an idea or a flavor you want to try she'll write it down, and 9 out of 10 times (with exceptions like having done it in the past or not having the season to do it) she'll test it out as a flavor of the day. Each flavor has exactly what is listed really in it. Red Hots: chunks of the candy. Black Berry: really plump black berries mixed into it. She changes flavors all the time, she every day is a surprise and an adventure in taste testing. For the size, the prices are amazing. $3.09 gets you one scoop. Most places that is small, here I can hardly finish that if I've eat dinner. It's a huge scoop, bigger than the container it is in by a lot.

Love the decor of the shop. I tired the maple & bacon flavor ice cream and mango sorbet. Both were delicious.

Way overpriced for run-of-the-mill ice cream. I'd rather go to Dairy Queen. I appreciate the support of local high school that's about it.

The décor is absolutely AMAZING, the kind of place where every corner makes you smile and every detail feels lovingly preserved. The food is exactly what you hope for in a place like this: real, honest, delicious eats made with care. It's the kind of menu that reminds you why simple food, done well, is unbeatable. And then there's the heart behind it all. The owner, Jill Winger -- yes, the same Jill from the Old Fashioned on Purpose podcast -- brings her signature homesteading charm into the space. If you love her podcast, you'll feel that same grounded, old‑school goodness woven into the atmosphere here. Locally owned, full of wonderful people, and brimming with small‑town soul, Chugwater Soda Fountain is the kind of place you don't just visit -- you remember. Yes, please!

This place is so quaint! It is kind of off the freeway, but I would definitely check it out! We…read morewent here because a friend of ours recommended it and we are so glad we did. We ordered a root beer, cola, M&M milkshake, and a cookie dough milkshake. The drinks were perfection and were made so good! For food we ordered: chili cheese burger, chili cheese fries, salad, and a bowl of chili. The fries for the burger and the chili cheese fries!?! Are you kidding!?! They were so freaking delicious! I don't know how they make them, because they are nothing like you've ever seen. They are thin, crispy, short, flat, so different from anything you've seen! But they were heaven. They were delicious and my son wanted to eat them the next day too. Everything was really good and I would highly recommend coming here!
