    Diego’s Tire Repair

    Diego’s Tire Repair

    (10 reviews)

Diego saved Mother's Day for us! Our rental car took us around Big Bend National Park for two days…read moreand I may have jinxed us by remarking that it was a miracle we didn't get a flat tire driving over 1000s of sharp rocks on the unpaved roads. On our way to Mother's Day dinner, the tire light went on and we realized one of the tires had gone completely flat at 5:30 PM on a Sunday. We waited 2.5 hours for AAA to send a guy in from Alpine to put the spare on for us and then drove straight to Diego at 7 PM. He very quickly patched the original tire, removed the spare, and reinstalled the tire. He has us on our way in less than an hour and only charged us $40 for his trouble. We made it out of there in time to take mom out for dinner and drinks in Terlingua and the patch got us through the 4 hour drive to Midland/Odessa airport to return our rental the following day.

Then, my fiance said that she not only found a tire repair in Terlingua but it was also open Saturday. About 20 minutes later, we arrived at Diego's and no joke, he was not only hustling to work on my 4runner but also had the truck jacked and tire off in only a few minutes. It was a very hot day and his son offered us water while we waited. We watched him fix the tire and it took a few attempts as the first plug didn't seal it but after 45 minutes or so, it was fixed. He also was very nice to air up our other 3 tires that were low after airing down for offroading. Very friendly pricing and nice people. They saved our trip and I couldn't be more grateful. Wish I could give 6 stars!

These folks were wonderful. I can't possibly recommend them enough…read more We were seriously up a creek. We had something going very wrong with our SUV while towing a trailer. It felt like a tire issue, but tire pressure was good and everything looked fine with the car and the trailer. However, on the road we were getting horrible shaking. In desperation, we went 20 miles off our path to get to Balmorhea for a 24 hour repair shop. We limp the car there only to find that it's closed. We search frantically and my girlfriend finds Balmorhea Towing and Tires on some website. It took us a few minutes to find because they don't have an office, it's just a lot with a couple trailers, but we found someone to help us. I think his name was Jeff. He and Markus (*sp) we super helpful, figured out which tire was giving us trouble and put on the spare. They were able to diagnose that the problem was a quickly collapsing sidewall. They gave us instructions on speed and where to take it next and how far we could make it on the donut. My girlfriend and I are both transgender and being in the middle of nowhere in Texas, let's just say we weren't expecting any red carpets. But these guys were so kind, patient, and courteous to us both. I felt like I was at one of my home shops. This was in the middle of one of the worst travel days I've had and was such a bright spot and a saving grace. We really appreciate these folks!

I later discovered the dispatcher on the insurance end told Balmorhea that I needed gas. Thankfully Balmorhea came prepared for all issues and with a little creative use of various jacks, was able to get me back on the road later that night. So grateful that they are willing to drive such a far distance to get stranded motorists to safety.

I originally waited almost 3 hours for a tow from another company with the same name in San Antonio…read morethat my insurance had assigned, but they never showed up. Frustrated, I started calling around and reached BA Easy Towing and Recovery. Brandon, the owner, personally answered early in the morning and immediately eased my frustration. He walked me through exactly what steps I needed to take with my insurance so they could reassign my case to a reliable company. Even though he couldn't come himself because he was based in another city, his professionalism and willingness to help someone who wasn't even his customer spoke volumes. You can tell a lot about a company by how the owner leads, and Brandon showed true care and customer-first service. If he treats a non-customer this well, I have no doubt his paying customers are in excellent hands. Thank you, Brandon, for going above and beyond!

5 stars are not enough for Brandon and BA Easy Towing. I had a tiny home delivered to the Big Bend…read morearea, but the truck that delivered it couldn't handle the very challenging road between the highway and my property so we had to scramble big-time to come up with a Plan B. Brandon made the 2.5-hour trip from Fort Stockton the next morning with his wrecker and a spare 3/4-ton pickup driven by his helper. Three hours later, we completed the 7.5-mile trip to my property without damaging the home, which was a major feat--Brandon even had to chain the pickup to the wrecker at one point to make it up the crazy winding hill just before my property. It was an epic journey, and I am beyond grateful to him for his help. I will keep his info on my phone, and you can bet he'll be my one-call if I get in more trouble in the future.
