We hired Mr.Ted for taking over a person who was supposed to do our new landscaping but failed. This person used to work for Big Bear Landscaping and brought over Ted. Ted has made a lot of promises and was quick on response, set a contract, however, when it came to actually doing the job - results have been totally unacceptable. It really bugs me when you talk to a person and raise obvious concerns this person keeps claiming that all is chocolaty. Even though Ted was partially paid for a job and I handed him a deposit, after raising my dissatisfaction he had verbally threatened me with "I can make nothing growing at you yard" and kept demanding more money which I refused. That followed with the lean on a house threat as well as the law suit. I had a chance to have independent landscaper to quickly inspect my lawn and he said that this kind of a job is totally unacceptable. read more

Horrible. They are supposed to do the entrance to our street and it looks terrible again this year. No mulch, weeds everywhere. Last year they planted dead flowers. It's embarrassing to turn into our street everyday. read more

Absolute worst experience I've ever had with a plowing "business." I've had to contact Ted Namy regularly just to come out and plow my driveway, something that should be done without asking. Always had an excuse and never provided me with a copy of the contract he'd promised on multiple occasions. Had no problem cashing my check right away, but providing paid-for service seems to be an inconvenience. Filed a complaint with the BBB and of course he told them he would comply with a refund...never followed through. Contacted him once more by phone and was given nothing but threats and obscenities. Obviously based on other reviews, he has a reputation for horrible work ethic and giving empty promises. read more

I am an avid believer of Yelp. I trust the reviews and have always followed the recommendation until this one . I fell for the 5 star rating and we hired Mr. Ted. That was the worst mistake we did this snow season . We contracted Big Bear in October 22nd, 2016. We paid 225 for snow plowing . We also specifically informed Mr. Ted that we are both physicians and leave early and he promised to plow before 7 am. Not only did that not happen , they barely showed up ! The first major snow of the season December 10th , no one showed up. I called and texted finally someone shows up the next day ! 5 days later another major snow fall , no one shows up , same cycle of calls and texts. our of 8 major snow falls by January we were plowed 5 times each after a hectic pursuit. Halfway through this mess, Mr. Ted himself said who apologetic he is and that he is working with a new crew and that he feels "embarrassed" and will refund 50% o our money while he will personally foresee the snow plowing himself. My husband was very understanding said he can keep the money if the job will be done. Few days later on January 30th where we were again snowed in the night before. I called on the 30th and said this is not working out, he did not show up contrary to his promise neither anyone else. Mr. Ted said he is tired he can't come in today and that he will refund half of the money as we will look for another company. Since January 30th, I can show proof of the amount of calls and texts to get the $110 back to no avail. Excuse after excuse. From us being impatient , to him trying to collect the funds, raining, busy, no response, vacationing, every possible excuse. It has been more than two months and nothing! We are tired of calling and texting and frankly we should not be put in this position. He and his crew failed to provide a contracted service and we are the ones who had to go out pay another $180 for a new plowing company and suffer this disrespectful pursuit of our refund.We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau that he ignored and we then we filed with the Ohio AG and we are currently waiting. Please do not give this business your money. We have suffered this humiliating pursuit with him to no avail. Please consider going somewhere else. read more

I use Big Bear for landscaping and snowplow services. I couldn't be more pleased. I have used two prior landscapers and was very unhappy with them. I had constant issues with grass being cut too low, inconsistent service and lack of cleanup. Big Bear has been refreshing in all aspects. They take pride in their work and make sure all customer concerns are addressed. read more

I hired this service for snowplowing and paid a full contract fee. The service was beyond bad, sometimes he came, sometimes he did not come at all. The owner made a promise to plow in the morning and afternoon so we can get in and out of our driveway before and after work. To this day this has not happened and we got stuck in our driveway repeatedly. I don't usually write reviews but today is another snowstorm- 2 feet of snow and the driveway was not plowed at all. I called all day with no response. They do not return texts or calls and yet again my car is stuck. My advice to anyone is not to ever sign a contract with them. read more
