Manuel is a knowledgeable contractor and one of the easiest contractors I have ever worked with…read more From start to finish, it was so easy to communicate with Manuel. He told me exactly what and how the work was to be performed, potential pitfalls, and listened to my concerns. Manuel pointed out the sidewalk was getting chipped due to my driveway brick sinking below the sidewalk. I had not planned on getting that leveled with the sidewalk but realized it was better to do it. I asked for a line item breakdown in the estimate and Manuel obliged. Another company just sent me a lump item estimate. I scratched them off the list. Manuel and his crew did an excellent job making critical repairs on my driveway. Brick paving is not overly complicated but my previous contractor who I 'stole' from my neighbor did shoddy work on another portion so I was careful to get a good contractor. Manuel's crew used the right equipment, materials and no shortcuts to do the job. When I pointed out minor issues they were immediately addressed. Manuel is Unilock authorized contractor. So the estimates are a bit on the high side but fair. And the work was done with quality and in a timely manner.

Driveway area not cleared and prepped with adequate gravel base and wood framing. Slab is too high. As a result of poor quality work melted snow and rain water runs onto the garage floor and toward the basement windows. Also vinyl siding is cemented in place as a result. Excess concrete was poured on the lawn. There was no clean up afterward. They left trash from their lunch on the window sills and yard area. An 8 inch hardwood board disappeared from the back yard when they finished. Rene agreed to repair the tire marks in the lawn, but he did not honor this agreement. Very disappointing experience.
