I LOVE BABs! The name, the people, their shtick, everything. They are my go to for any and every event. Service is superb and they can make (almost) anything you ask for. If they can't, they'll work with you to make you happy. Their creativity and super cute designs are unique and the product is exceptionally high quality. So... before I get into the review, you should know I'm not a balloon person. As a kid, I had a bad party experience, became terrified of popping, and it's not really gotten any better. However, I refuse to ruin the joy of balloons for my own kids, so I choose to just ignore the fact that every part of my body is cringing when in the presence of balloons. I can't say enough wonderful things about Big Ass Balloons. The women are just incredibly nice and accommodating. I had a terrible day at work and was running late getting home. I wanted to see my 1yo's face when the balloon showed up but BAB was on-time even though I was not. She was super sweet to my parents who were there to answer the door for me (thank goodness!) and she kept the balloon hidden in a room so that I could see my kiddo's reaction. What amazing customer service! The balloon was incredible. I have a 3yo and a 1yo, and they are ROUGH. This balloon was still going strong 48 hours later- as in still inflated, maybe a little less lofty. And after it lost all its lift, it became fun to toss it around (it did deflate a ton after tossing). Not once did it come close to popping; thus, I am a fan. What a great product and super fun! They weren't able to put the ears on the balloon so I made Mickey Mouse head confetti to use and it turned out wonderfully with the color coordinated tassels. The balloon installation looked great, but I felt the installers were unprofessional. I was scheduled to meet with them at 10am, and they did not show up till 10:45. They ended up not finishing setting up until 40 minutes AFTER the guests arrived. What really blew my mind was the fact that one of the installers started assembling the 5ft BAB tassel strings after she got there by putting each colored tassel on one at a time- a task which took AT LEAST 30 mins for both balloons. This is something that could've easily been done prior to day of delivery to better prepare for the actual installation. They briefly apologized for the lateness at the end, but at that point I really just wanted to get the party going. I guess with all the rave reviews about BABs, I was expecting a little more professionalism. UPDATE: Kathy, the owner, wrote me a lengthy apology email and partially refunded me for the trouble - a gesture that was totally unexpected but greatly appreciated. I love Big Ass Balloons! The concept is so cute and the products are awesome. I got two balloons for a house party celebrating one year of buying my home! They were neon green and had giant gold lettering with the name of my house. I worked with Katie to get the design correct using pictures on the Big Ass Balloon Instagram. I picked the balloons up from her house in Garden Oaks the day before the party. I inflated the balloon myself at a local party store (Arnies) and attached it to the ribbons with the letters. The balloon lasted about 2 days before deflating. The balloon size was about 30" wide and make a huge (literal) statement. I would definitely use these balloons again for upcoming events.
