Even on those painfully hot summer days (like the one we had yesterday) it's still reasonably pleasant out here under the shade of the umbrellas and nearby trees. The beers are large and cold, the burgers freshly grilled with a nice char, and the proximity to Berghain guarantees quality people-watching throughout the day.
The grill is a bit pricey, with burgers for 7 EUR (no cheese) and a small plate of fries for 2 EUR, but it's all high-quality and tasty as hell. The burger comes topped with grilled onions and a cranberry relish that is outstanding. The fries are so satisfyingly salty to counterbalance an afternoon of Radlers and Alsters.
