I had a shrimp appetizer and the baked fish with pan potatoes. I would recommend this place to anyone while in Bremen. Located in the Schnoor so nice stores and walking.

Quite music, low lighting, friendly English speaking staff but a bit elusive as we came at the beginning of busy time so she was running around hoping others. The food-awesome! My husband had the schnitzel and loved it. We all had the escargot that was delicious. I had the local special (first one on the menu) that translates to eel. It was marinated or "cooked" like ceviche is made point is it's not fried/baked etc and more like sushi consistency with sour cream based salad on top and yummy fried potatoes. It's wasn't fishy and I loved it. It's he nearer dish in the pic. One app, one beer, water and entrees was 43.60euros. If we're back in Bremen we'd go back.

They had my reservation (he referenced a sheet) but after I left the restaurant (after dining), I received an email asking why I didn't show up for my reservation. So perhaps they aren't super organized. After I sat down, I ordered beer and it came. Then I sat there for an uncomfortably long time without anyone coming to see if I wanted to order food. Someone finally came to take my order. A table that was seated after me was able to order and get their food before I could even place my order. When the staff was present, the service was great, but it took me a long time to get through this meal and to get out due to all the waiting. Be ready for this if you choose to come here.

Being used to the craft breweries in the USA, I'd done my homework and reviewed the beers listed on Untappd. So I was surprised when I was asked, "Blonde or Red?" But I admire a brewery that limits itself to a couple beers only. The red very cloudy but very pleasant.

I ordered the potato soup which was amazing! Also had been looking for sauerbraten all week and they had it. Unfortunately it wasn't cooked long enough so it was a bit tough. Since we were looking for a dinner spot, we decided that we would check it out. Thankfully there was no wait, and we were seated very quickly. The lofted ceilings and the huge wine caskets were very cool and were fun to photograph. We asked if we could sit in one of the private booths, which they very kindly allowed. It got to be super stuffy in the booth and I would not recommend dining with a large group in the booths, but it was cozy and romantic for just me and my husband. Food was just okay, I felt like everything was a bit too salty for my palate, but there was a great assortment of land and sea options.
