This was my first experience with a lawyer/law firm so I don't have much to base it on, but thought that Detroit Lawyers were friendly and really helped me through a rough spot. With all of the rhetoric out there about lawyers I was hesitant and a bit scared to give anyone a call, but I'm really glad that I called Nick and Detroit Lawyers. Hopefully I won't have to go through this process again, but if I did I know that my first call would be to Detroit Lawyers.

My case was easy - nothing that would cause any hicups along the way. I paid in full, $1500 cash as he demanded before he would start any filing. I met with him several times-he raised no red flags, so to speak. He said we would be done withing 3-4 months which was great news to me, especially wanting this behind me before my baby came. Well ....after a YEAR of going back and forth and him LYING to me, I find out he doesn't even have his license anymore! He lost his license in April 2014 and even up until July 2014 he was emailing me and calling me, telling (lying) me he would go to court for me so I didn't have to deal with the stress so close to my due date...and then called me afterwards to tell me it went smoothly and "I'm all set." This wad a blatant and malicious lie. In reality, he STOLE $1500 my family of four needed terribly and strung me along for over a year....I only found out about his asinine lies after calling the court system to get my records/paperwork (that doesn't exist because he lied to me)!! I am filing with the disciplinary board...even though I know he already has one against him, and am considering taking him to small claims court for stealing my money. Needless to say...he is a SCAM ARTIST who deserves every bad thing that's ever happened to him

The assistance Alexis has the WORST attitude I've seen out of a company since Comcast. I paid $2300 & has been misinformed throughout the process on several different occasions. My bankruptcy has been discharged unbeknownst to me. I had no ideal. The only reason I found out is because of an alert I received from my credit report over the weekend. I keep requesting a phone call to discuss business matters, but they will only send text & screenshots. I have no formal document in print or by email. My car company provided me more bankruptcy information than I ever got with the lawyers I paid. The lawyer & the assistance Alexis has nasty tones & microaggressive. This whole company is a joke. Ryan, the owner said he has too many cases to be focus on mine and then tried to ridicule me for having financial difficulties. A BANKRUPTCY LAWYER who makes money off the backs of people who are in financial distress. If I had to do it all over again, I would've done more research & filled the paperwork myself. Ryan assumes his clients knows about bankruptcy. So why pay him? Good luck if you choose them & be ready to be ill prepared for this already stressful journey. This company is pathetic!
