Hi guys, unfortunately we have to go this way and share our experiences with Riding Rd Scooter to…read morewarn everyone. We tried for two weeks to find a solution with Alec. But his customer support is very bad. It all started when we wanted to buy a scooter. Since we saw the good reviews, we decided on Riding Rd Scooter. On September 27th, 2024 we drove 40 minutes to the shop. We got there at 2:15pm, the shop was closed and there was a sign saying I'll be there in 5 minutes. After an hour of waiting and several unanswered calls, we drove home disappointed. The next morning we called again and Alec apologized and asked us to come today. We thought okay, he's friendly, we'll give him another chance. Big mistake as it turns out. So on September 28th, 2024 we drove another 40 minutes and looked at the scooters. Alec was nice and friendly and we saw a scooter that, as Alec said, was an exhibition piece but was new, with a lamp missing. Alec said we could have the scooter, he would take care of the registration and we could pick it up next Tuesday. And he promised us two helmets and cell phone holders. We paid a $2000 cash deposit and were looking forward to the scooter. He sent us an email with the documents, the link could not be opened later. On Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, we had a trailer ready to pick up the scooter. Around noon we called Alec to confirm the pickup. He told us he didn't have the lamp yet, which is why we couldn't pick up the scooter, but he would get back to us today. We waited 3 days and didn't get a response. On Friday, October 4th, 2024, we called Alec again and arranged a pickup for October 11th, 2024. Shortly after three p.m., we were just about to leave to pick it up when Alec called again and said the indicator wasn't working. Since he wasn't a mechanic, he didn't know what to do and we had to wait for his mechanic, who wasn't there that day. we were disappointed again but Alec said he would have the scooter delivered the next day around afternoon. He said we should pay the remaining amount by bank transfer. We say to him we won't be home the next day but he can still deliver and we won't pay the rest in front. As we don't see the scooter before. The next day (12.10.2024) we let Alec know that we will be home and he can organize the delivery. At 11:40am he write us: It was a loose wire and we can pick up the scooter and he take $100 off the price, but we decided for delivery. By 5:50 Alec called and ask for the Adresse. The scooter was delivered to us at the 12.10.2024 at 7:50pm! On a Saturday night. 14 days after the purchase date. And from now on it only gets worse. We took a test drive and noticed straight away: The ABS light was on, the speedometer display didn't work, the scooter smelled and had absolutely no power to drive up a small hill. We called Alec to discuss the problem. He said he didn't have time because he was at a birthday party. We asked him to withdraw from the purchase contract and use the cooling off period. He said it was only 24 hours. He said we had signed it. We said you didn't give us any documents. He shouted at us, said fuck you, and hung up. The helmets and cell phone holders weren't delivered either. So we told the driver he could drive because we would sort it out on Monday. On October 14th, Alec wrote us an email saying we had been aggressive towards his driver. Which isn't true, we have several witnesses because we had guests. He write if we shared our experience on social media he would take action against us. After we wrote him an email that included everything in this text, he wrote us back. He apologized many times. He wrote: Please let me know how you'd like to proceed, and I'll do my best to make sure we reach a positive outcome. On October 16th we answered to him, that we accept the apology but us we lose trust the best way would be a refund. On October 17th we ask him again to pick up the scooter and send us the money back. Since he stopped answering us, we called him again yesterday. He said we could keep the scooter for the deposit. He said you can't just change your mind like that because he had already lost money by registering. We explained that we hadn't just changed our minds, we were delivered a broken scooter. We showed him on the phone that the scooter wouldn't start and we couldn't do anything with it. The scooter has been registered for a month and we can't drive it. He said okay, you win. I pick the scooter up. Then we said transfer the money to us beforehand. He just hung up again. Then he wrote to us that we should send our bank details. Since the money wasn't there, we called him today from the number he knew. He didn't answer the phone. When we called from a different number, he answered. I asked what we should do now. He said he would file a lawsuit against us and that we shouldn't call him anymore. So a clear case of fraud: we were delivered a broken scooter. We tried several times to resolve the matter peacefully.
