My father stayed here on two separate occasions and we recently moved him to a different facility. In short this was minimal care for maximum price. if i could give 10 stars I would! this is the nicest assisted living facility I've ever been to. not only is it beautifully kept, but the staff is so caring and involved with the residents it makes it a pleasure to be there. they helped me with my mother needing immediate respite care during her primary caregiver's absence. she has had an aneurysm and has both cognitive and physical disabilities. at bickford not only are there many crafts and activities, but she gets more exercise than she ever could at home!. her care is outstanding. I am 100% at ease about letting them care for my mother, I have no worries. I have to give credit to "aplaceformom.com" for listening to my unique situation and finding bickford for me. When I first started living here things were much better, Now they are short of help with workers leaving all the time. As a nurse you should not have to work the dining room, clear dishes etc. We have many people in wheel chairs that have to be transported to the dining room and back to their rooms. It takes forever to get this done. Today some of the people have been waiting over an hour to go back to their room. They need to have medical people and a separate staff for the kitchen an dining room. When they were short a cook, one of the nurses filled in as a cook. This is just not right. When they start losing members of this home because of bad service maybe they will wake up to what needs to be changed. They need some one on the weekend who is in charge.
