The first and last time here!!! Needed a part that was interchangeable over 6 years of same…read morevehicle. They have an online search on their website, I had already searched and found they had 8. I wanted a certain color and they had it and all the same exact price. I called to verify, yes they did have it and also the guy said the exact price. So I drive the hour through traffic to get to them, counter guy asks what I was looking for, told him, gave the stock number and he said a higher price.......whoa, wait a min. I argued that I saw online and called, now that I am here and might not be covered in filth wearing clean clothes the price went up????? Then tries to tell me that glass was extra, when online it stated complete. And you can't remove the glass with out power to actually open it. He took me out to the yard to inspect. I said ok, but only at the online and quoted price. They did remove, moved it and put in my vehicle. I will give them that. While I was waiting inside for the guy I guess to go look for 10 min, another guy comes in saying he called about a window for an LR2. The parts guy said 80.00, the customer said no, I called and you all said 60.00, I did not drive all this way to get ripped off. No idea how that worked out. Will stick to pick n pull next time!!!!! Cheaper and you can pick out what is needed instead of it being like a jail with a warden limiting your activities!

Fast, reliable, and very helpful!! I called and asked if they had a taillight for my 2018 Altima…read moreand they said they did but would only pull it if I was there in person (sounds fair to me). I should up and let them know I'm here for the taillight it takes a while because they're really busy at that time but they got the light to me pretty fast. They had what I needed in stock and I went home with the part that same day. Awesome service!

This is the most organized and well managed salvage yard in Dallas by far. The two dollars you pay…read moreto get in this place as well worth the entry fee. They have a large number of foreign Japanese and German vehicles as well as your standard American cars and trucks. Instead of miles and miles of junk cars that should crush Garland offers you vehicles that actually have the parts you're looking for not completely stripped like some other places. So yes, I would highly recommend Garland auto salvage yard

I see someone else left a one star review also... I understand! I saw a posting on marketplace…read morethat they have a rear axle I want. I sent a message asking what the gear ratio is - a question any REPUTABLE auto dismantler would know or at least know how to check. They tell me they are a self-pull yard. I ask if they can at least tell me the gear ratio before heading that way and I ask if there's an option to have the axle pulled for me and I can pick it up. They say yes and quote me a price. I ask again the gear ratio but they don't know. They quote me a price and say I need to bring a core. I ask how much with no core. They quote me a price and I say fine, I'm on way - figure I'll just live with whatever ratio it ends up being. Just as I'm getting on the freeway I get a message saying "you pull." WTF!? I have NEVER been given the runaround like this from a wrecking yard!! I feel that they have no idea how to run a dismantler! At this point I'm giving up on them and going to look elsewhere! My time is too valuable to waste on an operation like this! Buyer Beware!

As you may expect, junkyards are not notorious for customer service or help finding parts but this…read moreone is good. Negotiating for a part can be a bit more challenging here vs. other salvage yards. Clemente is very helpful but does charge high prices for parts that can be purchased for half the cost at salvage yards on Jefferson in Dallas.

This looks like just any other junk yard, with one difference. This one seems to have their act…read moretogether. I called before hand to make sure they had a replacement engine for a 1997 Wrangler and they said they did. I drove out there and lo and behold, they actually had the engine I asked for. If you don't know, other yards will tell you they have it, but they may not have the actual engine you're looking for, it could be a cross-referenced engine from a different year or something else. And true, they may be the same engine but there are times when you want to avoid certain years that engine was manufactured because of defects from that year or for whatever reason. When I arrived, I asked for the engine, they said, "Do you want to see it?" "Sure." They take me back to the back where the engines are and there it is. All the engines are on dollies which is really awesome. I take a look, it looks fine, nothing looks broken or bent or whatever. I pay for it and they ask for the core charge in cash. That was a bit weird, since I wanted to put it on a credit card, but I was glad that I had enough cash. The engine was in great shape, actually. The inside was super clean. I did replace most of the gaskets, water pump, spark plugs, etc., because I want this new engine to last a long time without leaking oil. Loading up the engine was easy, they had their mechanic hoist it up on the cherry picker and load it up in the back of my truck. He even offered me a tire to cushion the engine so it wouldn't sit directly on the bed. The people were very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I needed anything else. Probably one of the better, if not best, experiences I've had with a yard in the past 20 years. Returning the engine for the core charge was relatively easy. I did have to find the paperwork, but I already expected that and knew where it was. They did ask me where the distributor cap was but I let them know that it was broken when I bought the engine and they didn't make a fuss over it. I got my cash and off I went. They have a fuzzy cat that hangs around the yard. Was friendly enough to come up and let me pet him/her.
