I just have to say I always find such great stuff at Ollie's! I frequent the one in Griffin, GA…read morebut I also go to the one in Hoover, AL when I am in town there. The book section: if you have never been to an Ollie's their book section, selection, and prices are phenomenal. I find great kids books, I find great sticker books, they have a great choice of superhero books which I've bought several times for birthday and Christmas presents. They have a great variety of adult coloring books, a decent craft book variety and if you're a cookbook aficionado, Ollie's is your place for variety and great prices. Let's talk about office supplies now. Ollie is got a great selection of scissors, stapler, pens, erasers, etc. Also in and around the office supplies are all the craft supplies they're getting from stores going out of business like Joann's. I can always find namebrand quality items from scissors to journals to non-acidic glue sticks to Cricut metal rulers. The toy section in Ollie is hit and miss. It is usually more misses than hits, but if you go down the aisles with all the hanging toys, you can usually find one or two bangers at a great price. My only complaint about toys at Ollie's. Is that their prices tend to be higher than one would expect. For your kitchen, they always have great prices on acrylic storage containers for your pantry or your fridge . They have a phenomenal knife, spatula gadget selection. I just picked up some phenomenal chef knives for $3.98 that cut as good as many German knives as I already own. If I'm close to an Ollie's, I never miss a chance to stroll through the kitchen section for specialty and closeout items that are usually even cheaper than Marshalls or TJ Maxx. If you need a rug, a lot of them have a great variety. But the pricing on the rugs is not any better than Walmart or any of your big box stores like Lowe's or Home Depot. The biggest advantage to Ollie's and rugs is its variety of patterns and sizes. Lastly, I want to talk about seasonal decorations and sunglasses. Seasonal decorations for Christmas and Halloween are usually very pretty and cute and priced at a great price point. Sunglasses: you can get name brand sunglasses like Panama Jack, foster Grant and many other great brands for $2.99 to $3.99. All sunglass brands in the United States are all owned and made by the same company which is Luxotica. It is based in Italy and it's bought up all the namebrand American sunglasses like Ray-Ban and foster Grant. The variety styles vary from store to store and visit to visit. But you will never find a better pair of sunglasses for a better price than Ollie's. The stores are always well organized, clean and fairly well staffed. The bathrooms that I have been in and the different Ollies have always been clean. The employees at Ollie's on the floor have always been helpful and the employees at the registers are just nice. They probably need more cashiers at certain times, but often for me these bargain prices come at only one price to me. That is the extra time you wait in line to pay for your bargains. And we all know this is true from other bargain stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, etc.. The price of your bargain is a time investment. Be sure and not sleep on signing up for Ollie's discount card. When you shop your points and periodically your app will give you 10 to 15% off a whole order that you buy. Sign up for Ollie's discount program. It is worth a little bit of time. It takes to do it. PS I do go to the Automotive section and buy all my bungee cords from Ollie's. Great price with a good variety of sizes. Happy shopping peeps!!

I filed a complaint regarding an extremely disturbing and unprofessional experience involving my…read more14-year-old daughter at the Walmart store in Griffin, Georgia on May 21, 2026. My daughter was trying on bras in the fitting room area, and due to her age, I needed to assist her in checking fit and coverage. Prior to entering, I explained to the employee working in the area that I had already spoken with someone previously who advised that if there was an issue, management could be contacted. I specifically asked for a manager if she was uncomfortable allowing me to assist my minor daughter. The employee left to supposedly get management, but after waiting an extended period with no manager returning, my daughter and I proceeded into the fitting room area. Shortly afterward, the employee began aggressively banging on the dressing room door demanding that I come out immediately. I informed her that my daughter was undressed and that opening the door at that moment would compromise my daughter's privacy and safety. The employee then argued that my daughter was "not a minor" and did not need my assistance, despite my daughter being only 14 years old. It was not appropriate for this employee to make parenting decisions regarding my child's comfort, privacy, or safety while trying on intimate clothing. The situation escalated further when another woman approached wearing a Walmart vest. When I asked if she was the manager, she later admitted she was actually the employee's mother. I was shocked that a non-manager -- and apparently a family member -- inserted herself into the situation and proceeded to verbally attack me alongside the employee. The younger employee was cursing at me during this interaction. When I requested their names in order to report the incident, both individuals covered their name tags and refused to identify themselves. I was then told to leave the area and informed they were shutting the dressing rooms down. I then went directly to customer service and requested actual management assistance. When the store manager arrived, she informed me she had never been contacted about the situation and had no prior knowledge of what was happening. She apologized and acknowledged the situation was mishandled. She specifically stated that had she been contacted, she would have allowed me to assist my daughter privately and appropriately. She also expressed concern that the employee's mother became involved and escalated the situation. This entire experience was humiliating, intimidating, and upsetting for both myself and my teenage daughter. No parent should have to argue through a fitting room door while trying to protect the privacy of their undressed child. My concerns are as follows: * Failure to properly contact management * Escalation of a situation involving a minor child * Compromising the privacy and dignity of my 14-year-old daughter * Involvement of a non-manager/family member in a customer dispute * Verbal aggression and inappropriate conduct by employees * Refusal by employees to identify themselves when requested At this point, I no longer feel comfortable returning to this location due to how my daughter and I were treated.

Wilson's Warehouse, Griffin, GA Date of Visit: 08/27/2021…read more This was my first visit to this business, but certainly not my last visit. Before we begin I am going to provide a link to the USDA government website explaining what expiration dates really mean, which is completely different then likely 95% of people think. https://www.fsis.usda.gov/food-safety/safe-food-handling-and-preparation/food-safety-basics/food-product-dating Wilson's focuses on purchasing overstock merchandise, stock from companies going out of business, stock from major retail sources who product is about to expire or that has expired. This could be paper/dry goods, vitamins, refrigerated/frozen items, appliances, clothing, and other items I may not have seen. This saves those companies sending it to landfills and wasting it. Wilson's then turns around and sells those items at absolutely incredible low prices. Due to the above they don't have a normal stock of items. The inventory and products will constantly change depending on the lot of goods they buy weekly. Can you say Treasure Hunt each time you visit! Dont let the outside of the building or its simplicity fool you. There are deals in here you will absolutely never, ever find in a regular store you normally shop at. Wilson's is in a location away from major retailing centers. The outside/inside of the building, signage, and parking areas could use a little updating. All of the employees I encountered were very helpful and busy. The inside is divided into two sections. The back area has the most dry goods, restaurant supply items and part of a freezer section. The front portion of the store has a couple refrigerated sections, another freezer section and some more dry goods. One thing to me which was of a potential concern was the freezer section some of the items we partially frozen and not fully frozen. Now this could be from it not freezing properly or it could be due to the product not being transported properly. The items that I did encounter like this weren't of a critical nature that it would have impacted quality though. Quite a bit of what I encountered was larger restaurant size goods or food size cans. Some was hotel overstock food. Examples of what I found. 1 gallon Ken's Honey Mustard, $2.99, 30 count package of brownies with cookie on top 99 cents, 1 gallon frozen chili 2.99, large restaurant size chili con carne 4.99, large tray of milk cake 1.99, large package of diced onions 99 cents, 22lbs of frozen chocolate chip cookie dough 4.99 large package of instant potatoes 99 cents, market street package of beef stew 1.99, and so on. They had much much more than I mentioned, but you will just have to get there and check out this little hidden gem of value. The sign out front does say to bring your own bags and boxes, just an FYI. They do have shopping carts inside. Pro-Tip: I brought my very large ice chest to make sure all my cold items stayed at the right temperature. I filled up a 119qt ice chest. The whole shopping cart stacked very high ended up being only $123.79. Try spending that low of an amount at your grocery store for a whole cart full of items...
