So on our first visit he did a scrape biopsy of that area and froze four other areas around my mouth and in my ear. Several days later he called and was very gracious saying "it is not melanoma, but it is a basal cell carcinoma." Although I am open to having minor cosmetic procedures, I came specifically for Botox for my jaws since my grinding and clenching has been an issue that I have suffered from yet overlooked for my entire life. Dr Cheungs office is comfortable, feminine and modern. Dr Cheung was very welcoming to me and although I only met her briefly a few weeks earlier, I felt like we had known each other for years. I had some apprehension about the procedure and she was very accommodating and comforting. Turns out it really was virtually painless! She has Alzheimer's and is without much in the way of language. Even so, he's dealing with her entire well being.
