Huntington Learning Center gives a diognastic test and based on that they give you upfront how many hours she needs! We had over 4K bill . But in the initial zoom meeting we were told money is refundable anytime we want to stop. Any cancelation of scheduled class should be 48hours in advance. I urge parents to just schedule one week at a time. Otherwise Huntington learning center will call it " Absence " and ask your student to make up class and will not refund your money even you cancel weeks ahead of time ! Based on diagnostic test they suggested she needs reading & writing as well. ( My daughter as a junior got 80K scholorship from a college as a junior based on her reading & writing skills & Nomitation for National merit for highest PSAT score in her school and her strength is Reading & writing . ) Altough we just needed math tutor -We wanted to give it a try. Selling pitch is unbelivable makes feel like your student needs all those hours - not sure how we bought into it ! After total 5 sessions my daughter did not want to continue, about $700 of our money is not refunded! Luckliy we did not schedule for more classes! It is a bad bussiness ! If you still choose them Please be careful only schedule one week at time and read what you sign !!!

Thanks so much to Solomon Tutoring!!…read more My daughter took her first ACT exam and we soon realized that she needed to brush up on her math skills. After taking her 3 NYS math Regents, she never took another math class and it showed. We were referred to Tunisia Solomon and after our first meeting, I knew we'd found the one! She was knowledgeable and understood just what we needed after that first meeting. She planned out a tutoring schedule that worked with my daughter's many extra curricular activities. For each session Tunisia was prompt, well prepared and professional. After just about 8 sessions we retook ACT exam and my daughters math score improved. She was accepted to (all the schools she applied to) Syracuse, Penn State, Binghamton, Temple, Towson and FIT! She chose Penn State and she recently passed her math placement test so she can register for a full credit math class when she starts university. Tunisia did that!!

After having a few session, he was able to see math more with an open eye than blurred vision. She has definitely helped him with speed, increasing his confidence and skills. To Melissa M: You have no idea what you are talking about. You were not there while my children…read morewere attending Tutor Time and what a terrible experience was for them. Did you even see what occurred when they were there? Were you in the room when the experiences I related happened? Were you privy to the phone calls and messages I received from Tutor Time? No. So you have no right to say I'm making stuff up and call me a liar. Alison and Danielle may be nice to you but they were not to my youngest son. They were very rude and nasty to him and couldn't wait to throw him out. They treated him like absolute dirt. One other thing that I didn't put in my first review is that I called my school district about what to do about my son and his situation at Tutor Time. When one of the directors who has a PhD in education found out that my son was attending Tutor Time of Massapequa, she said "I've had this conversation with them before. Their methods are terrible. The teachers have no training whatsoever. Their only response to when a child doesn't behave is to isolate the child and eventually try to get rid of the child which causes much more harm than good." So it's not just me. Tutor Time has a bad reputation with my school district and they have a low opinion of Tutor Time's methods. Don't tell people to ignore my review because it is a 100% accurate reflection of my children's experiences there and people should know that it isn't the happy, sunny place you insist it is.

I see a lot of mixed reviews on here and I would like to address some inconsistencies. We've been…read morepart of the Tutor Time family since 2015 and I can honestly say that this team is wonderful, caring, attentive and really do go out of their way to make this feel less like a daycare mill and more like a family. The teachers are wonderful. A few years ago there was a different director and I was not happy with how things were going with my oldest and pulled her out and put her into a local preschool- HUGE MISTAKE. I really wish I had stuck it out with Tutor Time. When my son was born, we chose a different daycare at first because of some of the issues we had with the previous director, but ended up switching back to Tutor Time and I'm so happy that we did. It was night and day the level of care and communication my children received there versus other centers and schools. Allison is wonderful and I feel that she truly makes an effort to know each and every child that is there and tailor their care and education based on their needs. There are some really standout teachers there that treat your children as if they're their own. All of the children that I know that "graduated" from Tutor Time went on more than prepared for Kindergarten. My son is in Preschool now and is doing science experiments, art, music, and writing activities DAILY. These activities are done all day long and not just in the morning. He comes home singing songs every day. They now have cameras that you can observe the classrooms, plus they continue consistent communication, pictures and videos throughout the day through their app. They have regular family activities, such as trunk or treat, holiday concerts, summer parties, etc. all while trying to maintain safety for the children and community. I know everyone's experience is different, but I can honestly say we've been very happy with Tutor Time and would wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking for childcare in the area.
