I have visited so many salons from Greenville, to Easley. I have never been treated as wonderfully. I called yesterday morning, I was given an appointment the same day, in the evening. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted, and my Stylist Hailey was waiting for me. She asked me pertinent questions with regards to what I wanted and couldn't stress enough that she would make sure I was highly satisfied. I was given water, as there is water, along with coffee. They normally close at 7pm, I apologized as my hair was taking longer, Hailey wasted no time assuring me I was fine. I love my cut, I loved the staff, I will be back, more importantly, I found a stylist. Hailey got down, I know my hair is difficult, it didn't scare her, she was up for the challenge. We all went in with a few Pinterest photos to show what we wanted. I always go into these types of appointments with low expectations for my hair actually matching the photo. A lot of that is due to the fact that everyone's hair is different and every hair stylist has his/her own interpretation of said photo. It's not always a bad thing and in many cases the stylist knows what will work and what won't. Reece did a wonderful job with my hair. It was a low bun with a few braids woven in. Absolutely beautiful! She combined the right elements from each photo and I was so excited with the results. One of my favorite hairstyles ever! The bride had her (curly) hair done by Brandi and it looked amazing. Then my sister in law had hers done by Brandi but we aren't quite sure what happened. The first attempt was similar to the photo shown but too high. Instead of doing the same style in a slightly different position, Brandi did something totally different. I thought it looked nice but I knew it wasn't what my SIL wanted. SIL is too nice of a person to say anything again and family stress was high so she stuck with it. We all would've been a little happier if my SIL had a style she really loved, but I understand Brandi's position of trying to adapt an idea and make it fit on the person. The salon itself looks lovely and I may go back sometime to get a hair cut when I'm in town. For future styling appointments, I recommend 2 things. 1- bring photos! It really helps the stylist to have an idea of what you want. Most of the will tell you if a style is not going to work with your face shape or hair type. 2- if you don't like the first style, tell them! You're paying good money to leave a style you love. The stylist shouldn't be offended if you say it's not quite what you wanted and would like to try it a little differently.

To be working with is helping other customers, answering phones, and using time by slowly walking you around the store showing you makeup you could try this is not worth the money. I came in requesting a very blunt, easy task for someone who does makeup and somehow it turned into an hour long hot mess. The girl I worked with was sweet as could be and she knew her stuff. I just don't think she quite understood what it was I needed. When we were finished, and I looked at myself in the mirror, I immediately went to the bathroom and washed my face. It was bad. They did give me a refund bc they acknowledged the fact that the employee was busy during my session however, I was advised that I was banned from getting any services from there again. This is a shame because I shopped there all the time. I guess it does not matter though because I don't think that I would use their services at this location again anyway.

In Short: I had recently waited 3 months to get an appointment for highlights and lowlights at a very costly Greenville salon. The stylist at the Greenville salon made a brassy mess out of my hair...she did not put me under heat to lift my own color for the highlights. I was told "this type of bleach does not require heat to lift". The 3 inches of brassy highlights were terrible and the lowlight color was very dark and I felt they made me very sallow colored. I soon discovered that both were unsuited to my complexion because I was repeatedly asked if I was feeling poorly for the next two weeks! I came to Salon 97 wearing a hat and left with a bright hair color feeling more like myself again. The ladies were very brave in taking on such a sad sorrowful case such as mine, and I am so incredibly grateful!! Miss Cindy got me right in when I called with my woeful story. Miss Alexis, brightened both my hair and my day about 6 weeks ago. And the lovely Salon 97 owner Miss Allie brightened me up even more today! I hope I haven't misspelled anyone's name. I have 100% confidence in recommending this salon to anyone. Very talented and very nice people.
