I usually request Latysha as she is great at focusing on sore spots and is really kind and warm. If you do the monthly membership, it's $70 for a 60 mins. massage. Booking online is a breeze and they bill your insurance company directly. Everything is just really well organized and run. Front desk staff have always been friendly, not to mention their tiny dog who you might see in the reception area! The facilities are clean and spa-like. They always have some kind of cucumber or fruit water at the front which is a nice touch. I've been coming here for about half a year and have no complaints. Would recommend this to those who are looking for an actual therapeutic massage, rather than just a "relaxation massage". I.e. the more questions you ask or information you can give the RMT, the better they will tailor your treatment to help with particular areas of discomfort. They will often give you stretches to do at home or other lifestyle modifications to optimize your posture and mobility.

But I guess it was the woman doing it rather than the place. This most recent time I went, it was a different woman who was very nice but made a huge mistake. She used product to remove mascara from my eyes, but then didn't remove my mascara. Tons left at the end. Then she added so much product TO MY EYES that I couldn't drive home. My eyes were watering so badly that I couldnt see and I had to wait more than 10 minutes while constantly tearing up and wiping, tearing up and wiping, more tears, wiping, wiping, wiping... extremely uncomfortable. Note: The product didn't sting. This wasn't an allergic reaction. This was what would happen if you put a gob of hand lotion in your eyes and then tried to drive (or do anything, really). Even if it's gentle lotion, why is it IN YOUR EYES? Why would that ever be ok? My skin was nice the next day and my eyes recovered but this really made me mad and seemed like common sense. A drop-in facial at Hand & Stone costs $130 after tax and tip. For this price, I shouldn't have to come home and wash my eyes out.

After finding this place by accident I've stopped going to anywhere else to get massages. If you are looking for a spa kind of place this is bot your place, but if you are looking for a good certified massage therapist that knows what he is doing and is dedicated to a good service this would be one of the best places in Toronto.

To book an appointment, one needs to go to their website, register an account and book it, which is a bit trouble. Usually the calendar was pretty booked for after work hour, so I booked 2 weeks in advanced. Finally it was my massage date. I went to the clinic, and it was a small clinic, but still pretty clean. I also needed to fill a patient form. Anyway, the massage started. This is my first time having a Swedish massage. No idea what is about, until the moment the guy asked me to take my clothes off. I am like "OH CRAP, is it one of THOSE types of massages I signed up for?" The massage therapist needed to massage my back, which meant I needed to go topless. OK. Now I had a better understanding of Swedish massage. During the process, massage therapist applied oily lotion all over my body. Nevertheless, the massage therapist was professional. I did feel so comfortable during the massage process, nearly fell asleep. This place is not one of those fancy spa place, but good deal for the money, especially you really enjoyed Swedish massage. However, I think it would be end for me for Swedish massage.

Just sitting in the lounge now enjoying a coffee in my robe. Which is my favourite part of spa going. The decor is a mixture of pottery barn meets flower shop. Light, bright, and open, very sweet. I prefer a little more of a dark candle light zen vibe, thats personal choice though. The lady who did my treatment was lovely and knowledgeable, she was great with extractions, I could tell she was well trained. Will be trying the pool shortly but it looks amazing. I think this would be a great place for friends to have a spa day. Overall good experience. Update, just used the pool, jacuzzi and the infrared sauna. Amazing!! My body is completely relaxed and I am loving this. Minus the lady who is in the pool making tons of splashing noise doing laps right now . Shhhhh lol Can't wait to try other services.

I hadn't asked for a hot stone massage but she proceeded to rub a stone all over my body. I told her to focus on 1 area but ended up getting a full body. On top of that, I let her know that the pressure was not enough and she lectured me that I should let her do her thing. Overall, just a bad experience. I had also written a complaint when checking out which was supposed to be passed on to their manager. I received an email a week later with an apology and an offer to make up for it. When I tried to set something up, they ghosted (Diane Jacques was the contact who is supposedly the Director as well). Bad massage. Bad customer service. Will not return nor recommend.

I also looked up a review posted on a website from years ago (attached). What I saw when I actually visited in person for my appointment is what I can only describe as something I would have NEVER wanted to set foot in. It looked like a shady dentists office, with a single massage chair, bad lighting, dirty and old furniture, and overall not a place I would have ever wanted to find myself in. Why this was not advertised on the website is something I'm still thinking about? If you moved locations from King to Queen street, maybe your patrons should know? The lady who did my facial seems inexperienced. I didn't quite like the products used, the tools (for the infra current, extraction etc), or something as basic as eye coverings or head band. My hairline on the front was doused in product since she didn't use a head band, and used a tissue paper of some sort. She spent the entire hour and a half adjusting the paper. Extractions we're not performed well. She had a blade of some sort which she rubbed on my face multiple times seemingly to get rid of the dry skin. I left the spa disappointed in the ambience, the service, and the quality of the facial. This was also the most expensive facial I've ever done (150$ and above?), for the worst experience of my life. I would like to hear back from the owners on what kind of business you're running, and why there was no transparency in the whole process.

Camden spa has a very nice airy feel about their space as it is a loft conversion and on a bright Saturday afternoon, the space was filled with lots of natural light. As we entered, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and were asked to fill out a form for our service providers. We were also offered tea and water as we waited for our treatment. As we each entered our treatment rooms, there was a confusion about who was getting what treatment which threw me off a little bit but we ended up receiving the correct services. My facial was done by Ana who was friendly without being too chatty. My room was almost completely dark and since we were coming from a massage, this almost put me straight to sleep. I thought the facial was on a little shorter side but I was told that it was because I did not need extractions. Overall, the facial felt really nice. My skin definitely felt very well hydrated. However, I went to use the washroom, I could see that my eye make up was not all removed as I could see remains of my eyeliner. Hmm...so much for a deep cleansing that supposedly took place before slathering on a bunch of hydrating salves. My sister's microdermabrasion was also similar. It was her first time trying it out so we had nothing to compare it to but the staff who performed the procedure told my sister that Camden Spa does maybe 5 -6 microdermabrasions a month. I guess that doesn't put them at the most experienced category. Either way, my sister seemed happy with the result of her treatment. I would say my overall experience at Camden spa was just okay. Not superb but pleasant enough that I would not discount them for future visits.
