I recently purchased a preowned Goldwing and wanted some accessories removed from the bike. I was…read moreon my way to LaCrosse and happened to see this place from the road. (It's on a main drag thru town and you can't miss it.) I walked in, asked if they could help me out, they said yes and we brought the bike into the back of the shop into the service area. Out of curiosity, I wanted to watch the guy remove the stuff. I know that this is sacred ground and that mechanics HATE for the owners to be present while they're working. The guy was really nice and showed me everything he was doing. (I think he sensed that I wasn't questioning his ability, but rather, I wanted to just learn from him.) Once all the stuff was removed, I had a huge inventory of heavy stuff (chrome floorboards, passenger armrests, etc...). My bike was fully packed and I didn't want to leave the accessories behind because they were worth money. The guy suggested that they ship the stuff to me. They said they'd be in contact when it was ready to ship and I could give them the credit card info to pay for shipping. I agreed, paid a small price for all the work, and went to meet my friends for a great riding weekend. When I came back, I waited a few days for a call and then, viola!, my stuff had arrived. They paid for the shipping! I have never gotten service this good anywhere in my whole riding life (12 years)! Jay was actually there to talk to customers. He's super-nice and knowledgable. I don't live around there, but I'll be back whenever I'm in town again. They ROCK.

Was told the clutch was bad found the water pump was leaking so under warranty they fixed took them 3 weeks and than returned it to me like the photo below. Took it back to them got the response that they had to put new hose clamps on. Tested fine so they gave me it back 2 days later same thing so back up there again now was told it's leaking at another fitting and will be Friday till the parts come in. So out of a month I've had it for 3 days able to drive it once. I would not recommend going to this place anymore as they don't communicate unless you call or go there. And there service has went down hill

There were a lot of trout in the pond. There is no catch and release in either of the ponds. Probably we dont even need a fishing road. Just putting a small net is enough to catch the fish. I caught 3. The store lady was nice. She cleaned it well. I just had to take home put some spice and bake/fry it. Fish tasted real good. In fact I saw others stopping by and just catching 1 fish per head and leaving. I guess they are just trying to make a tasty dinner. It was a really fun experience.

I have always purchased my tires from them and have used them for numerous other vehicle services over the years and they have always been nothing but fantastic. They have dropped me off at home when a service was expected to take several hours. They have done a diagnostic on a noise and were totally honest that it was nothing to worry about (some shops would try to sell you parts or services you don't need). I got a flat tire on a Monday night and walked in with no appointment at 8 am on a Tuesday morning and they were able to have me back on the road by 8:30 am with no charge. I highly recommend Hartje Tire and Service for any and all of your vehicle needs!

He answered every question in had, and if he didn't know the answer, he's was honest about it, instead of trying to get me to just spend frivolously. He even treated me to a special, delightfully smelling candle that I asked about after I had already paid, and before I paid, taught me about, and DEFINITELY signed me up for, their special newsletter that includes a special changing phrase that provides you a little off your purchase. Best bang for my buck possible, all with a smile on his face and a hilarious hat on. Been in quite a few times since. Do yourself a favor, make this your regular place, I'd stake my word on it.
