I went to Dr Bex Harper, founder of Earth Coaching for Neurodiversity & Chronic Illness because I was having some serious issues focusing, concentrating on tasks, and getting my scheduling under control. As a freelancer, this is so important and I was becoming so frustrated because I felt like I didn't have the proper tools and structure to fulfill my work needs. Dr. Harper was kind, patient, and understanding with me first of all, which I really appreciated because I felt seen and understood. I had been to other coaches who just didn't understand how I couldn't make a plan and just 'do it. Bex helped me see the holes in my planning, daily organization and task management and even recommended a platform for accountability that has completely changed the way I work. My productivity has grown exponentially and I can focus on individual tasks instead of drowning myself and getting overwhelmed trying to do everything at once. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Harper's assistance because I have struggled with this for years and felt my ADD was just getting worse over time. I highly recommend Earth Coaching if this sounds like something you're struggling with and need expert guidance. Thank you so much, Bex, for your kindness and guidance that has helped me so much in my business. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Bex H.
As a neurodivergent, I fully understand and believe in working with both the mind and body, the importance of pacing and the huge benefits of regularly connecting with nature. I've seen the huge benefits of working this way when helping ADHD, ASD, dyslexic, dyspraxic and chronically ill clients to take more control of their life and when dealing with overwhelm, decision making, procrastination, burnout, stress and being stuck. I am a full member of The Association for Coaching (membership number 69279960) and follow their standards of ethics and confidentiality. I am fully insured, have my own coach and regularly participate in CPD, e.g. ADHD coaching. I hold an accredited diploma in Transformational Coaching and CPD certificates in Group Coaching, Existential Coaching and Narrative Coaching (all from Animas School of Coaching).

Before I started my Earth Coaching package, I had spent the year since my diagnosis (aged 35) feeling quite lost. I had a lot of feelings of frustration, anger and confusion. Whilst finally being able to put my finger on a factor that had contributed to a lot of negative feelings about myself. The biggest thing I got out of the experience was learning to understand more about myself and coming to terms with finally having a diagnosis. Medication has had mixed results, but being able to sit and work through things in my own time and space has been a revelation. I still have my struggles, but Bex has been fantastic in letting me work through the various issues and difficulties in my own way. Being able to work with someone who doesn't make you feel as though you're being judged and doesn't try to "fix" you (like many therapists I've seen in the past) is easily Bex's biggest strength. Finding someone who genuinely listens without spending the entire time you're talking thinking more about their next question (and in so, not really listening to anything you're actually trying to say) has really made the process quite fun and engaging. It really hasn't been all work, there's been plenty of room for just good chat that has really helped us to build a good rapport. I've achieved a lot of things through working with Bex - the sessions being held outdoors were a great chance to walk and talk, sitting side by side makes sessions feel less like an interview and more like a conversation with a friend who you've known for years. The biggest achievement has been spending far less time being so hard on myself, learning to utilise my strengths where possible and learning to ask for help from family, friends and in my professional life. And this makes me feel really grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Earth Coaching. I wasn't sure what to expect prior to my first session, but I can't think of a session where I've not come away feeling a bit lighter and with a bit more perspective. What I would say to anyone who is thinking of working with Bex, but isn't yet sure, is to just make the leap. In many ways, I could have avoided years of ineffective therapies had I have 1) had a diagnosis but 2) got the opportunity to just sit and be myself with someone who offers professional guidance, but a real sense of genuine care and enthusiasm. Overall, I'd recommend Bex because if like me; you're ready to take the next step in your journey/evolution to a better relationship with yourself and others - you won't be disappointed. read more

I worked with Bex on decluttering and organising my home with a 6-month package, and the difference it has made is unbelievable! I started out completely overwhelmed with clutter and unsure how to manage my space, often burying my head in the sand because I just didn't know how/where to start. Over the course of those 6 months, we explored why I was keeping hold of certain items as well as barriers that were stopping me from decluttering and organising. Bex helped me to overcome those barriers, and actually start making changes in small, bite-size, yet impactful ways. By the end of the course, I'd managed to clear out around 30% of things I owned, and had clear organisation tactics in place. We also went through a routine to help me keep on top of it all. 2 months after my package ended, my home is still organised and it finally feels like a space I can be proud of. I feel so much more relaxed and in control of my home, which makes everything else feel so much easier, too! If you're on the fence about signing up for a package with Bex, I would sincerely urge you to take the leap. Invest in your own wellbeing and your future because Bex can seriously help you to turn it around. She's so understanding and compassionate, plus really easy to chat to. There's not a single thing I would change about my experience with her! read more

Thanks to Bex, I now find simple things like getting up in the morning easier and more exciting! By helping me to restructure my life around my neurodivergence, Bex has helped me feel more confident about my future and career! Bex is the best coach I've ever had, as they don't just ask generic questions, they use their experience to reccomend tried & tested techniques, as well as integrating therapeutic techniques to help me shift my mindset to value what's best for my wellbeing. Their shared lived experience around neurodivergence and queerness has also helped me never feel judged! I've had bi-monthly hourly coaching sessions with Bex for a year. read more
