What a disaster. Chronically understaffed by people who don't have time to help customers. The direct opposite of the Mt. View store which always is helpful with customer's questions. Santa Rosa even seem like the same chain. Santa Rosa displays: sullen employees, poor service, miserable merchandising in an unfriendly, cavernous space. It appears to be the store that marketing forgot, except maybe for the stack of Pabst, bottles and cans, used to fill an open space. Didn't have the price posted for the home brewed "fog" beers, and the dude at check out couldn't find the price. read more

I heart bevmo - and the fact that it's centerally located, and seems like it's always open when I need them to be helps too. Great selection of wine/beer/mixes/alcohol all staples in my pantry. and they have absinthe. another plus - they sell the gift packs. I am a sucker for a cheap pair of martini glasses with logos stamped on them, along side my bottle of vodka. they have a good winetasting event (I think it's on fridays now) and surprisingly, a decent selection of caviar, and yes, I know that sounds strange but go check it out - you won't be disappointed. read more

BevMo serves up some mighty fine spirits. This particular store seems to always been clean and professional. They check ID's frequently which always make me feel a little better about growing older, knowing that I show my id every now and again. The selection is generous and the prices aren't too bad. For a chain I can't complain. Helpful tip: It's ALL about the $.05 sale! Buy one bottle of select wines and get the other for just $.05! read more

Why anyone would buy at BevMo before checking Costco is just throwing their money away. Prices vary, but some hard liquor prices are 2-3X that of Costco and it is just down the street. read more

Okay, so I went to Bottle Barn the other night and had no idea what wine to buy. (I'm not a wine drinker, but people I know back in PA are, and I wanted to bring them a bottle or two of nice CA wine.) The next day I came here because it was convenient and, being a California native, I knew they would have something that I could proudly schlep all the way across country and deliver to my wine enthusiasts. This store is HUGE, clean, and the employees are super friendly. The prices are decent, and it seems like BevMo! often is running some promotion/sale, so that's definitely a good thing. Parking was eh - they share a lot with Trader Joes, which appears to be a beehive, and people weren't polite either as pedestrians or drivers here (but I can't penalize BevMo! for that!) Big selection at big prices. This used to be a much better store years ago when they had a sharp manager that put out his own specials & marked them way down, just to get rid of them. Then the corporate office told him that he couldn't do that anymore, & that was it. Unless it's on sale, the prices are high here, no matter what. I go for one of two reasons: To find something I am specifically looking for or to try something new: Hard to find gins or whiskeys "Handles" of some of my stand-bys (at amazing prices) Great beer that I have heard about but never tried Beer that I have never heard of but want to try Lots of parking and the check-out lines are almost very quick. Great selections... fits what I expect in this gastro-wine region. We came here late one night, 15 mins before closing - and in the rush of things we made a mistake when paying. Asked for charges to be reversed so we can pay for the wine using another card that won't charge incremental fees. Manager insisted the register that process refunds is shut down and he couldn't reverse the charge. After pushing some more, he grudgingly processed it on the one opened registered. We were planning on still buying that wine but since it looked like he was going to chase us out of town if we don't leave pronto... we left and bought the same bottle of wine down the street. read more

This is a very good liquor store, with nice selections overall of spirits and beer, although I'm less familiar with the wine selection. It has a good range of regular domestic, craft beer, and imports, including some hard-to-find Belgian, British, Czech and German beers, in addition to the usuals. Prices overall are good. However, esp. compared to Bottle Barn, the range of choices, esp. on spirits, is somewhat limited, even though it does have a few things that Bottle Barn lacks. Prices overall are higher here, too, sometimes much higher (even though on a few items here and there this place has better prices). One of the main negative points is that service here is pretty bad. It's basic, not particularly helpful, and not particularly knowledgeable. It's a good store with a good selection and some things even Bottle Barn lacks, but it does have some serious limitations. read more

I was going to Maryland to visit friends and family and I said something about BevMo and they're like "huh?" and I'm like "huh? really? there aren't any there? I could have sworn there were..." *Google* oh and right MD has funky selling alcohol in chain store laws. It was then I realized I love Beverages and More. I love their selection - if I need to find Mead, Absinthe, or any other strange thing I know they have it and I love their low prices. I think this store should be viewed more as a warehouse - you're not going to get a lot of help or one on one attention. If that helps keep prices lower I am absolutely fine with that. read more

Sweet place. It's right down the street, so when I don't have time to go to Bottle Barn (or if it's past Bottle Barn's closing time and I'm trying to get my drank on), this is my destination. All kinds of beer, wine and hard liquor. Usually they'll have some pretty good deals as well. For some odd reason though, I usually get the same girl at the check-out counter every time I come here. We made a large purchase at this store for our Wine Country wedding last month and were helped by Rachel (I *believe* that was her name. She is the person at the store who helps with orders for events). Wow, she was absolutely wonderful to work with. When I had first called the store to make an appointment, she answered, and was so professional and friendly on the phone. I truly felt like she was HAPPY to help us with our wedding booze! And the best part was that I had mentioned to Rachel on the phone that we were interested in Torrontes and when we showed up for our appointment, she had several options chilling for us in the fridge to taste. She had done preparation and research prior to us showing up! And we didn't mention this to her when we were there, but my husband has very high credentials in the wine world and was totally impressed with her knowledge. And lastly, our large order of delicious wedding booze was delivered a) on time and b) correct. Horray!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great experience all around! read more

I love the deals on this store! If you sign up for the rewards program, you get tons of discounts. Almost weekly so far they send emails that's typically $5 off your purchase which is pretty neat! The selection is pretty nice, it's the closest thing to Specs that I've ran into in California. The employees are very friendly, even though I'm the type of person that doesn't like being helped unless asked, someone has always come up to me within the first five minutes of being there for any assistance if needed. Tons of space in the store for thinking of that next wine bottle you want to try and it's very clean and organize, not that stuffy liquor store vibes. Tons of parking everywhere since it's located in the shopping center so that also helps the experience. read more

Stopped by for a bottle of whiskey and sweet vermouth. Loaded cart up with hard to find beers, too. Susan, the clerk at the register, is an example of what customer service is all about : professional, yet friendly and had me load up boxes of my goods while she scanned. BevMo is a big box, and what do we expect from big boxes? Good prices. With their volume, you'd think they would be able to offer that, but items I buy I can easily find elsewhere for as much as 30% less. I laugh at BevMo. read more

This place is obviously awesome. booze, cheeses, wine glasses, snacks, and very nice workers. YES PLEASE! Love their buy 1 get 1 for 5 cents sales. My husband and I come here often and spend a lot of cash here buying whatever we want for the weekend. It is like a date night coming here. He spoils me and the workers know to let us shop amongst ourselves, because all we want to do is be together and shop and laugh at the horrible choices we accidentally made when we first started drinking wine regularly. BevMo has a pretty good selection of wine, beer and hard liquor. My husband is always on the search for new dark beer so we sometimes end up here to get some. Last time we came, my husband was buying and I had nothing in my hands or didn't set anything down to pay and the cashier still said I had to show my ID at check out. i come here for the convienence, I don't get the warm fuzzy feeling like I get when I walk into Bottle Barn. The selection is good but the customer service I feel is lacking sometimes. I've come here when it's slow and when it's hopping and no matter what I always spend at least 15 min waiting for someone to open the locked liquor. I've learned the best way to get in and out is to purchase online so that way all I have to do is walk in and grab my order and leave. Major props for the online ordering!! read more

Decent booze market, but you need to know the good from the bad, because they have both here. I'm not an encyclopedia of wine knowledge, so my preference would be for a place that has less quantity with only good-great quality. For example: Flavor Bistro has a great to-go wine menu. You may pay $1 more per bottle than bevmo, but you can trust your getting a wine that has been vetted prior to being put on their wine list. read more

Sometimes you just want booze. BevMo to the rescue. Actually, for the most part it's a great place to go for wine and beer. For hard liquor you might be better off going to Costco or Safeway. If, however, it is your intent to throw together a Long Island Iced Tea party this is the place to go. Also, they have kegs, which are useful for parties. read more
