Just got to Total Wines or Costco. This store really suffers from HORRIBLE management. These managers have deteriorated the stores selection, quality, and PRICES!!! Total wine and Costco managers are far outdoing them. And if you don't got any in your area or time to wait in line, please skip this store and just head to a local store instead. Don' waste your time, gas, miles, or money here. This store has a horrible layout that just makes NO sense. About 60% is dedicated to food. Then another 30% is wine. And the final 10% of liquor is nearly comprised of many MANY out of stock bottles. Good luck trying to find anything. Managers more focused on pushing mobile delivery orders than actually having good inventory. Won't be surprised if it runs out of business soon. read more

This place is a disgrace for beer drinkers and beer enthusiasts. They have one refrigerator and it's stocked with cases of macro beer and seltzers. And the poor selection of craft beer that's available is out on the warm shelf. How about switching the places of those and putting macro beer out at room temperature? Or better yet, getting more refrigeration. Oh yeah, and when I walked in, I could barely breathe because the whole store smelled like the strongest nastiest cleaning solution. They had the whole middle of the store floor soaked in it. How about doing that after closing? So sad. Bye! Edit: I changed my review from 1 to 3 stars. I suppose you can't help spills from happening, but a less pungent cleaner would be good for sure. Also, after tasting some of the beers I got from here, I changed my mind a bit about this place too. They do offer a few beers that you'll have a hard time finding anywhere else in Lodi. I got some of the big macro German lagers I've been wanting to try, and they were all delicious. So, thank you for carrying those. And I forgot to mention the service here was actually pretty friendly too. Still, the vibes of this place could be better and the whole place just needs a facelift or something. If I remember correctly, this building used to be a Blockbuster or Hollywood video back in the 90s, and it doesn't seem like they've updated it much since then. They stock Peroni beer, but have been out of the 12 pack for months...sells at $17.99. So I buy the sixer at $11.99. Today, I brought two sixers to checkout and asked for the 12 pack price. After a ten minute consultation, I was told tough luck. Pay for two sixers. So I pointed to their sign advertising how they would match or beat any price. I asked them to match THEIR OWN PRICE! "Oh we're sorry, can't do that, but you can talk to the real manager tomorrow." I was very polite, found it amusing and walked out. Yeah, I'm going to call on Monday morning...sure! Last week I went in to buy a Coors Light 12 pack. In the cooler, it was $12.99. But a warm floor display was priced at $11.99. An extra buck because it was chilled? The guy in charge apologized and gave me the $11.99 price for the chilled. (When I got home, I found one of the bottles was broken.) I then walked to Food 4 Less in the same strip mall for groceries and found the same Coors Light for $10.99. Funny stuff. Anyway, I live close to Bev Mo in Lodi, but head up to Sacramento regularly. We stop at Total Wine in Elk Grove for major purchases. Great service there. One of the reps laughed at our comment regarding BM being pretty bad. My husband and I were getting Christmas stocking stuffers at this location on Dec. 21, 2024 at 12:02pm. We got the items we needed and went to check out. The line was a little long and another line opened and we were told to come to the other line. On our way there there was a short Hispanic man that walked in front of us to put something away. I moved out of his way then he looked at us and rudely says, "guys the line is over there I can't have crowding right here". Mind you it was only the two of us and we were asked to come to that line and there was already a lady in line in front of us. However he didn't say anything rude or nasty to her. This disrespectful interaction was very unnecessary as we were kind, unproblematic and respectfully following instructions. I'm positive this ride and unpleasant experience was motivated by horrible morals but I encourage you to train and teach your employees how to lead and be professional while doing so. read more

The worst experience. Went in today July 13th, to pick up a bottle of Little Book Chp.8 for my bday. Shows 4 in stock and the employee told me that the 4 bottles of Little Book are on hold for purchase for the regional manager. So they have them but they cannot sell them..... i've been told this before with Blanton's, EH Taylor and other allocated whiskies. I'm feed up!! This miss treatment goes against any retailers policies. Anyone else have a similar experience?? I know I'm not alone. Worst customer service. We actually traveled out of our city and decided it would be a good idea to stop here, not knowing how useless the workers are. Not once did anyone offer to assist or greet us. We came to check out, and cashier Camryn was rude and moody. She had a huge attitude for no reason that was so noticeable. We were polite the whole time during the transaction. But felt uncomfortable after she handed the receipt with no Thank you or have a good day but a mean mug look. As I looked at the receipt to confirm her name bage, I noticed that she was ringing under the name Eden. Good thing I stared at her name badge a few times. Luckily, I needed my bottles of wine, or else I would have walked right out the min no one greeted when there were 3 of them, including the manager standing 3 feet from the front door. I went into Bevmo today, and I was very bothered by the fact that yes I completely understand if masks are required but if they are required, you definitely should either hand some out, or sell them! This elderly lady came in today, and the employee was rude to her telling her she can just go over to Target for one. So I live in West Sacramento and was going to visit my parents in Lodi so I figured I'd just pick up a case of Kirin for my dad at the Lodi bevmo instead of stopping in sac or Elk Grove. I ask this kid for help and had to point to the beer twice to ask him if they had a case if Kirin. He checked the upper shelf above the six packs and didn't even check in the back. He said "well I guess we are out". You guess??? I asked him again you either have some or you don't which one is it? He said "I guess we are out". Bevmo I expect more from you as I've gotten way better service at your other locations in Stockton, Elk Grove, and Sacramento. Also this is the first location that did not carry a case of Kirin so I was surprised. For now they get 2 stars from me. The employees here are closer to me than some family. Very attentive, and organized! These people know their stuff!! We exchange beer/spirits reviews, they will take requests if you're looking for a certain alcoholic beverage, they will special order for you, very personable, friendly, understanding. There really is no reason good enough to go here outside glassware and mixers, even then it I just feels like you are wasting a bit of money. Being that it is located in a town that completely attributes its fame to Alcohol, a store that gets all its precedent by selling brands you cannot find anywhere else really doesn't fit into a town that has everything you can find there in other stores for a better price. When I used to live in Patterson, driving to Modesto for BevMo! was worth the trip, we found beers we never had access to and the price didn't feel bad but you have at least 5 other better options for stores in Lodi so just search a little better and pass this one up. Not only is their liquor outrageously priced, their beer selection subpar, their staff nothing to write home about, but their keg prices are insane! I spent more on one damn 5gal keg than I remember spending on half keg anywhere else before. BevMo is somewhere you pay for the availability, but this one is just located in the wrong place for those prices. read more

Actually a good shopping experience but a very odd checkout this AM. The checker asked if I was going to the Ports game (local team) I said no. He then proceeded to tell me "good I gave up my season tickets as I'll never support someone who supports idiots like Diaz Brothers" he had no reason and even explained that most people in town love the local heroes, just said they didn't give him attention when he said hi. It seems odd for a Lodi local to talk bad about folks with a big Lodi rep. As a Stockton local I am good staying to STK now and avoiding this store. read more

Oh what a great place! Went there to check out some of the wines as they have a deal going on (the 5c deal where you buy one bottle of a participating wine, second bottle of the same is 5c) I wanted to try a few different kinds so I can make some choices for my wedding next year on what I want to serve. what better way to test then to get them on sale? The selection was fantastic! Also the prices are extremely competitive. I was very pleased with the selection and walked out with 127$ in quality product! I also had grabbed a few snacks, a bit overpriced but tasty! its a great place to go and when in California I will absolutely go back for all of my beveragey needs. My fiancé ordered three kegs from BevMo Lodi for our wedding. We had a few issues with how far away our venue was, and didn't think they would be able to be delivered at all. Since we live two hours away from the venue ourselves, we were worried we'd have to take a separate trip out just to get the kegs. But Luis Sandoval who placed our order, was so awesome about it all. He guaranteed the kegs would be delivered, and let us know he'd do it himself! We were so grateful to him, and relieved that this added pressure was lifted. THEN our venue coordinator told us the day before they were to be delivered that they needed to be delivered before noon or we couldn't have the kegs. We called Luis and he assured us he'd be there by noon. He was there, and texted us as soon as he delivered them. Thank you Luis! read more

There aren't too many variations in BevMo stores so the Lodi store is much like all of the others. The customer service was good and being that the store had just opened when I visited, the selection was plentiful. It is nice to have a place in Lodi to buy a nice bottle of Scotch, a different variety of beer, or a nice bottle of wine that isn't necessarily from the area. The 5 cent wine sales can be worth a look, I like all of the bar snacks and goodies, and the gift items can be fun. read more

Now say you live in a town with more wineries in it than both Sonoma and Napa combined and your town is famous for producing zinfandel wine. Now you can walk into any of those wineries and buy the wine or you can walk into BevMo for something different and not from the same town you are living in. Or not because this particular location seems to have some strange obsession with stocking its shelves with as much product they can possibly get from Lodi no matter the level of quality. Now they do have other products, but if you are after red wine well you know what you are going to get. The staff when they stop gossiping long enough to notice you are in the store can be helpful, but usually they don't notice you until you are on your way out the door with empty hands. I'll just go ahead and make the drive to Stockton when I need to find an adult beverage or two. read more

Can I just say THANK YOU for constantly having the Michael David Petite Petit on sale for $13? I love the local wine selection, and the prices. You can't beat the 5 cent wine sale. I walked in to pick up my coors light 1/4 barrel keg that was reserved days before and in stock only to be told they don't have it. I was pissed as I have a party in 2 hours with 50+ people. They tried to offer me a 1/2 at the same price, but unfortunately my kegerator does not accommodate a half barrel at this time as I already have another quarter barrel keg in the unit too. The manger went out of way and said wait here I will go to Stockton at get one for you! That's customer service, they took a bad situation and mad it better.
