I don't think I've ever seen any hotel do it more cheaply. The waffle machines are behind the bar - but on a Wednesday morning, the attendant said that only she could use it but they were too busy today. However, my husband and I were the only people there. We were given a TINY plastic plate to pile on cold scrambled eggs, cold raw bacon, any toast or biscuit you wanted. I had decided to have oatmeal, but the EVEN TINIER plastic bowl was so small that there would be no way to stir it. My husband did try to make his bran flakes so I got a picture, for reference. Coffee was Walmart pods - blah! The 2nd picture is of the coffee pot in the room. It is totally rusted - and dirty. I shared with the front desk that their coffee pots wouldn't rust so quickly if they didn't place them on the already small bathroom counter by the sink. That space is needed for us anyway! Loved the room, air conditioner, FABULOUS bed and the ambiance of the whole place.

Amanda greeted us at the Inn and gave us a grand tour full with amazing views of the Ohio River. Also a great dinner recommendation at Capronis Restaurant on the river- we walked (8 min) also walked through the town after dinner - so cute and full of nostalgia from a rich past. Missy's breakfast was outstanding and she was lovely! A must if you stay here! Ann (the inn-keeper and city commissioner) gave us a very rich history of the town and the current 'goings-on" of Maysville. We greatly enjoyed our conversaction with her and would for sure recommend the Inn- I have a feeling this town will look even better in the next 5 years! The room was a converted apartment and thus very spacious- living room/kitchen/bedroom..etc everything in the room was terrific- only small thing was the shower head needs to be addressed- great hot water and pressure- but you could not adjust the head bc it was broken and the water felt like needles coming out ) We had hoped to visit a couple vintage shops in town- but sadly most were closed both Monday/Tuesday of our stay. But all in all I would absolutely recommend this jewel- and we will definitely be back!

The night clerk mentioned the wifi password. We moved in but no wi-fi! Back to the office where she says "we advertise it only in common areas'. Not true as far as I can tell (certainly advertised wifi on Booking.com) and astounding if it were true. The next morning we moved into a room that had it. The property from outside is in fair condition. The showers in both rooms were very ragged, though we wouldn't have rated it so low just for that, considering the price. To their credit, the day clerk offered us a refund, but the 2nd room worked and we had to get to our meeting. * Not sure why the initial clerk didn't just put us in a room that did have service. The next morning the day clerk told us a woe about the repairman making repeated visits. This is not the travelers problem. Bottom line - I wouldn't stay here till you see a rating that verifies the wi-fi.

I could only get lukewarm water in the shower and the gym was in total disrepair. The treadmill had an out of order sign on it, which from reading other reviews was the same 11 months ago so does that mean it has been out this long? The Peleton also wasn't working and the elliptical machine turned on but the resistance did not work. The location is decent as you can walk to a couple of chain restaurants and a few stores including Kroger.

My only complaints would be that you can tell some furniture and fixtures in the rooms were old, and you can definitely see their age. Also, the water fountains do not work and apparently have not since covid. As someone who drinks a lot of water and does not always trust the bathroom sinks, this required me to have to purchase bottles from Kroger, instead of just refilling my water bottle at the fountains like I normally do at hotels. Lastly, the treadmill in the fitness center was out while I stayed, which was an inconvenience as I could not keep up my normal routine runs while I was there. All these problems are not deal breakers, but they did take away from my stay. Overall though, I would come back to this hotel if I need to on my next visit to Maysville. The people at the counter are very nice and saw to all my needs, and it is nicely located compared to many amenities in Maysville.

She has a sparkling personality and is a great conversationalist. Wonderful attitude. The room however was haunted. Or at least the lamp on the bedstand. This was a first for me. I've stayed in "the murder room" at several hotels in the past. Rooms where previous guests met their demise, with blood stains and all. But this room is haunted. When I went to turn off the lamp to settle in for a good night's sleep, I turned the switch. BUT instead of turning off, the lamp got brighter. I thought maybe it was an electrical short, so I turned the switch again and it got even brighter! At this point, I just unplugged it. I'm still not sure if the room was haunted, or if the lamp was inhabited by an other-worldly spirit, but I would love to know the history of that room.

The guy at the front desk came up and showed me where the buttons were on the back of the TV but then you had to stand there and go through all the channels. The refrigerator had a constant squeal so I had to unplug it.

The phone in the room doesn't work, outlets are broken and lamps don't work in the room. Seriously the owners need to upgrade or shut down. Not worth the money you pay to stay here. Stayed here for work. Arrived and multiple people had to change rooms due to things such as dirty…read moremattress, toilet not flushing, and no door locking chain. The doors of the rooms go directly outside. Also, housekeeping comes into your room no matter if you put up the do not disturb sign!!! Unreal. You have to request at the desk or over the phone if you don't want housekeeping to come in.
