I'd like to be transparent in the fact that this review is after visiting the rehabilitation center…read moreon a tour, and I have not had a family member personally stay here. However, I have learned that it is challenging to know what to expect, and find good resources, so I felt like leaving a review might at least be helpful to some... The location itself not on a busy street, the parking could use improvement, however, there is some in the back. I do think the staff here is efficient and they were very responsive to phone calls and questions and coming in for a tour. During the tour I was able to ask any questions that I wanted to, and was able to understand clearly Aryana's responses. The way that this location is set up, included a short term, hallway, and a long-term hallway, the cleanliness of the areas were pretty good, and the overall facility did show a movie area, and boardgame area. I don't expect any location to be perfect, I did see a lot of seemingly happy family members visiting there, family while passing through the hallways... There was one spot that smelt of urine, but perhaps that was being addressed. Overall, I think if you are looking for someplace that your family needs to stay at, this is a good spot to begin your tour, and see.

In fact my second stay in 2024 was just as great as the 2023! In late April of 2024 I stood up from my bed and I literally felt a huge POP in my lower spine, and the pain was horrible! I knew that I had at least one , but it turned out to be TWO! I could barely stand up, walk, and generally just painful to the max!! I finally got an appointment with my Neurologist and while he knew what had happened, and my report to him was correct! So back to the the 2024 the surgeon to schedule the reason to go to Lynnwood Post Acute Rehab Center after the surgery! After several days in the hospital the Social Worker came In to my room to give me three choices as to where I should go. I interrupted her and told her that I knew exactly where I wanted to go and that was Lynnwood Post Acute Rehab Center! Thankfully there was only one room available but they held it knowing that I was getting there in the next couple of days! If you read my glowing report from my 2023 stay would be exactly the same in 2024!

He was very sick...I checked Yelp and Medicare, and Aldercrest had a very good rating. After a month, I can say we love this place. The staff is phenomenal - Sandra, Chris (OT), Rich (PT), Rachel, Hewie, and all those wonderful, cheerful staffers (we don't know their names). The staff definitely gets to know the patients by name. Greetings abound! They are approachable and very responsive. Answer all the questions with knowledge. My husband said he has enjoyed being there even though they make him work to get better! The other patients get to know one another and look forward to joking with each other. Isn't that great? It is not the somber place one would imagine. When I bring in our dog for a visit, he is swamped with pets and kind hugs. It is so nice to be able to bring him in for visits with not only Dad but for visits with everybody else! There are plenty of activities each day including painting and crafts. The staff prefers the patients to be out of their rooms so as not to be so isolated. There are several outdoor patios with chairs, which we enjoy immensely. Only downside is the bland food. That is done for dietary requirements of low salt. But you can bring in your own seasoning if you would like! Thanks for all the kindness, concern, expertise and downright fun.

Then I get a text she hurt her arm and needed the day off. I understood. Then soon a text for a week off. Then a text that it wasn't known if she was coming back, but she could give me one day in her schedule but couldn't vacuum. Her schedule? I thought she couldn't work? I will NEVER help another aide or their family again. If I could get back the two big totes of blankets & quilts I would. Just left me to struggle as my knee tendon tore, I had a TIA & heart attack & have to have the other knee surgery. I've no help at all. I was offered a "backup"man, but I said no thank you. At least the head lady at Aging & Disabilities has given a better way to find a professional aide. I used to think highly of Serengeti until I was left feeling used.

This is an ethical, professional home care agency (Lynnwood site) that provides competent and…read morecompassionate care. They are dependable (without exception) and are able to be flexible when needed. I write this after 6 weeks of 5 days/week, 8 hours/day service from them. My husband and I each wholeheartedly recommend this agency for anyone needing temporary or long term care in their own home. A little history: We thought we had an arrangement with another home care agency, but due to questionable agency practices, we did not hire them. This, unfortunately happened a week before I needed knee surgery. My husband, the client, cannot be left alone and needs some assistance that I wouldn't be able to provide. I called Serengeti purely based on their reviews. The manager, Tanya, came to our home the next morning. Based on our impression of her and how she described their services, and on the quality of her assessment, we signed up that day. They started immediately on the date we needed them. They did not disappoint. The aide that Tanya matched up for my husband was well suited in personality as well as in her compassionate, competent skills. Gina (our aide) is a lovely, warm woman who is a pleasure to have nearby. Her primary job is to keep him safe and she does this well. She, also, helps him as needed to do his physical, occupational, and speech therapy homework. She does light housekeeping (laundry, dishwasher, tidying up, etc) as needed when I am around to insure ongoing visual supervison. We wish we had hired Serengeti sooner. I sleep better and am more energetic. I don't have to do it all. We also cannot say enough good about Tanya, the manager. She is "johnny-on-the-spot" and has helped us expedite insurance requirements. She has also called them on our behalf. She is a dynamo. Her daughter, Tanika, is equally helpful. Another aspect of this agenct that bears mentioning is that they treat their employees -- all vetted -- well. When I read employee reviews of Serengeti, the phrase I read most was that they were treated like family. Tanya and Tanika have set the atmosphere. (Our aide finds this to be the best home care agency for which she has worked.)
