My son has been at Beth's Imagination Station for a few months now and we all are so thankful for the great staff and owner! Reasonable prices, meals and snack provided (cooked in house), amazing caregivers, friendly environment... BIS has everything you're looking for in a daycare setting! Beth, the owner, is on site every day making sure the staff and children have everything they need. They also offer lots of extracurricular activities including Kinder Dance, Tumble Bus, visits from community members, The Big Blue Bus, etc. Being a new to the area, my family is so happy to have found a home away from home for our son while we are at work! read more

My young child went to this establishment for just about half a year and I could not, in good conscience, recommend this daycare to anyone. The ratios for staff to student were horrendous and were often lied about when liscensing came. The turnover rate of staff and children was absurd and it seemed like a month was a long time for anyone to endure employment/childcare here. The owner was MIA and would only show up when it would look good for parents. I have had friends and family that also took their business here and both withdrew their children after a few weeks of their experience here. In conclusion, this place is a nightmare and should not be considered a viable daycare for anyone. P.S. The staff did work hard and, for the most part, seemed to care, but management did not support them at all. read more

I personally recommend Beth's to anyone. I love the atmosphere there's alsways fun projects to be done. I have 2 children that go there. They have both been there since they were baby's. My youngest one just graduated. Everything about this child care is wonderful. Everytime I go to pick-up or drop off there are always friendly faces. It is also very clean, I have never had an issue with EITHER of my children getting sick from being there. So I'm not sure what the other review was about. Maybe they should check on their own surrounding's. The staff members are very helpful. My son needed special breathing treatments and I could ALWAYS count on them.Even moving on to grade school my one still loves to go on school days off. Happy,smiling faces all the time. I highly implore anybody considering Beth;s Imagination Station to seek out an alternative. The staff is unprofessional and often rude. Our kids were here for two years. Our concerns were addressed with Beth over and over and over. We failed to see any results. Things are out of control and disorganized. read more

My daughter attended Beth's for about 6 months before we had to remove her. During her time there, she contracted MRSA, whooping cough, and strep pneumonaie (not strep throat) all simultaneously. After pleading that a notification go out about these issues to the parents so they could watch their own children for symptoms, one went out about the whooping cough only and loosely implied that we had been asked to leave the center. The owner REFUSED to send anything out about the MRSA or strep pneumonaie because she said she wasn't required to, even after we begged her to do so. She said we couldn't prove either were contracted there...? Um, yes, they were, but at the end of the day, I don't care where she got it. I care that it isn't spread to other kids! Maybe a notification about another kid having MRSA would have prevented mine from contracting it, which she is still struggling with over a year later. The teachers really did seem to care about the kids, especially a few of them, and we were sad to get because of that, but the office management and owner were terrible. We couldn't trust that the right thing would be done with our children and we didn't feel that they would be safe there. While their price is appealing, especially given the area, realize you're getting what you pay for. read more

Our Son has been with Beth , since he was three. Great people, tons of learning activities, field trips. Beth does a great job with communication, feedback, etc.. The teachers, are great. Always stuff going on. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area. As my Son will begin kindergarden in the fall, he will have a nice learning base to begin with as he starts school thanks to the lesson plans at Beth's. read more

The only thing I would recommend about this center is that you DO NOT take your kids here. We had our three children enrolled for almost 6 months before pulling them out. I kept waiting for things to get better, for the front office (Beth) to get their act together, but it didn't happen. Communication was exceptionally poor. Twice my daughter didn't get medication she was taking even though I filled out the correct forms and handed them to the front office AND told her teacher. The building had a constant heating problem this winter where the back two classrooms were so very cold that the staff and many kids wore their coats most of the day. My kids hands and noses were so cold when I'd come to pick them up. The pre-school teacher quit and walked out however parents weren't notified that their child's primary caregiver was gone. 10 days after the teacher walked out, I finally asked what happened to her. It was only then Beth sent out an email. A few months later when a replacement was found, it took a MONTH for parents to get an email about who this new teacher was caring for our kids. I had two kids in the Pre-K room and they honestly learned NOTHING the entire time they were there. One of my children has fine motor skill delays. She came home crying two different times that she asked her teacher to help her cut with scissors and the teacher said, "no, it's not my job to cut, it's yours," and would not help her. After we put our required notice in, they moved that pre-k teacher to the baby room and hired a new pre-k teacher. I will say the new teacher seems AMAZING, but we already had enough negative things happen at the center. They had new students start in the pre-school room and didn't have enough cots for everyone to nap on. Instead of buying more, they simply took the cots ... and nap/rest time ... away from the 4- and 5-year olds. Instead of notifiying parents that nap/rest time was suddenly gone because of the cot shortage, it was just brushed under the rug. I only found out when I asked my kids why they were so exhausted at the end of the day. Also, they replaced the nap time with Disney moving viewing. Not sure how that's educational. Two of my kids were walking around BAREFOOT for 1/2 the day during the winter because the staff couldn't find their snow boots after the first recess. They had my kids wear their shoes out in the snow during the second recess and the shoes and socks became soaking wet. The staff didn't bother pulling the extra socks that were in the backpack out for them, just let them go barefoot. And guess what ... their boots were under their cubby, labeled with their names on them. The very next day, my daughter's shoes went missing again after recess so she went w/o shoes the entire day. I found my child's shoes on a 2-year old in a different classroom, clearly too big for the 2-year old. The center was supposed to provide milk to the kids at lunch. It very, very rarely happened. I brought it up 6 different times, and it never got sorted out. The center also says they provide "snacks" but they were usually saltine crackers or something like gold fish crackers. No protein or fruit to go with it. I had to supplement my kids' lunches with additional items and also provide a more appropriate PM snack. The lunch menu sent out (late) every month was usually wrong. Not a good thing if you have kids allergic or sensitive to some of the foods they serve. And FYI, when it says sandwiches, it's Bologna, not something more healthy like turkey. And hot dogs are served too frequently. The teachers do seem to be trying really hard, but in my opinion, they are not getting the support they need from the office. read more

Beths Imagination Station was the second Pre-K daycare I tried in the Rochester area after moving here from the Ludington area and I was so impressed with Beth's kindness that I immediately switched my daughters Pre-K to Beths and have never looked back! I absolutely Love Beth's and it's family type environment. The entire staff there are so friendly and kind. They make us feel welcome and wanted, like a second family. I would highly recommend Beth's Imagination Station to anyone looking for a wonderful, colorful and very heartfelt place to have their child stay while they were at work or school. INFANT CAREGIVER DOESNT GET YEARLY FLU SHOT! Toured this facility 9/28/16 looking for childcare for my children ages 3 months and 2 years. I liked Beth on the phone, appreciated that it is owner-operated, and thought the curriculum she outlined was thoughtful and well balanced. The facilities were as expected--- new, pretty clean, I thought the entrance set up seemed secure. I was slightly put off by the playground-- I thought the fence was a little low, but not a deal breaker. While inquiring about flu shots/employee vaccines, the full time infant caregiver disclosed that she doesn't ever get the flu shot because she "doesn't believe in them". As all of her charges are too young to receive a flu shot, I found this dangerous and utterly unacceptable. Beth stated she cannot mandate employees to get the flu shot which is indeed Michigan law, but I found it asinine that this person was allowed to work with the center's most vulnerable population. read more
