We were very impressed with the staff and the encouraging and positive environment for our child. The staff is very dedicated and, since it's a co-op, there's also a very involved community of families which give the co-op a supportive community feel. You also get the opportunity to be involved in your child's education and the teacher's do a great job updating you and sharing pictures so you never feel like you're missing important developmental milestones. I'll also say, although I might be generalizing, that the parents really care about the overall wellbeing of the school and the children; in other preschools that we've viewed we got the impression that the parents were competitive with each other instead of collaborative which was a differentiator for the co-op. We've had our son in the school for two years and the school has helped him to develop socially and academically. The teachers pay special attention to our child and have helped him to build his confidence and independence. I highly recommend this school.

All of the teachers are seasoned professionals who truly care for the wellbeing of every single child. The staff is caring, thoughtful and kind! Many have been there for a very long time with exceptional experience in not only teaching the building blocks of early education, but thoughtful life lessons of kindness, inclusiveness, and friendship. The music teacher, Mrs. Pillow, is also a talented and dedicated artist who has well prepared and interesting classes. The concerts are great! Everyone has demonstrated so much positivity. I would highly recommend for anyone seeking an educational, learning environmental based on play and friendship for their young child.

My oldest daughter, now almost 5, started at MLC in the toddler room in 2020 and just graduated this month. She did not cry that first day--or any school day in the three wonderful years she has spent there. The school environment is small, nurturing, safe, and fun. The daily routine is soothing and consistent, as you'll see during many parent/teacher conferences, back to school nights, and classroom celebrations. True to the Montessori philosophy, the children are given a balance of both structure and developmentally appropriate freedom in the classroom that has allowed my daughter to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. The academic curriculum is both supportive and challenging. Despite her summer birthday, my daughter is well prepared for Kindergarten. She has felt inspired by her teachers every single day, who have lovingly guided and celebrated her development in math and language. The director, who also teaches at the school, is incredibly warm, responsive, and professional, as are all the teachers at the school. The teachers here are masters of differentiated instruction and classroom management. They communicated with me about my daughter's progress every step of the way. My 2.5 year old recently joined MLC. Her teacher personally reached out to me throughout her first week to let me know how well she was adjusting. MLC is a treasure and we highly recommend the school

Maria (who runs the center) just flat out cares. She is incredibly thorough in how she and her team look over the kids. She doesn't look at this as "babysitting", she looks at this as a proper school. She highly emphasizes education and constant broadening of the childrens' horizons, and she knows all of the kids in the school very well. Even more, as our son was starting their program she actively encouraged us to stop by with him after hours multiple times, to acclimate him to the environment before starting up. She did everything she could to make sure our child had the smoothest startup possible, and as a result he adjusted really quickly all things considered. I cannot recommend this school enough, it has been an entirely positive experience and I feel my child is being cared for so much more than at some of the local franchised daycares we visited. (Also regarding cost, interestingly they're on the better value side of tuition rates for the area)

I cannot say anything more than how happy and grateful we are to have found Ms. Maria (director of…read morethis school) and the school. My 2-yr old son was in another daycare for a few months and he was bitten by the first month. And then he started biting other kids the following months while that other biting kid was separated to another room. We tried our best to stop him, engaged a speech/behavioral therapist counseling to see what was wrong with him. The therapist said there was nothing wrong with him and was surprised to hear him biting other kids at daycare. The daycare basically gave us a two week warning, that if this happens again, we would need to find a babysitter. We were terrified! By then we were starting doing research around new schools. We visited this school, where Ms. Maria said "please never schedule to go visit the school. Come visit us at any time!!" We did visit unannounced, and Ms. Maria toured us around while hearing our story about biting. She was disheartened to hear about the biting and told us to "never let others label your child." I basically bursted out crying at this and Ms. Maria assured that that will not happen at her school, because she had other kids from his then current daycare have exactly the same issue and came to her school and the kid never bit others any more. There were other kids from other daycare also came because they were unhappy, and she said they were all doing great. I could kind of believe it because the school was so big and open inside, and they basically rotated the rooms throughout the day so the kids get different themed rooms throughout the day. The kids were limited in numbers, the teachers were happy and engaged at all times, and there were intellectual stimulations all around. Like one room was filled with puzzles and trucks, the next room was about music, and then the kitchen, etc. we were so impressed and felt supported. We took her offer to try out a week. As soon as he started going to this school, he never bit any kid or even attempted to do so. They told us he is having a great time and that he is smiling all day. It's been a few weeks now and he is still enjoying the school and he is much, much happier now than ever. I initially didn't look at this place because it was farther than other schools close to our house. But I have heard great stories on a private facebook group of our neighborhood and wanted to just check out how it is. And now I am blown away by the amount of personal, family like environment that the school carries. I am so so glad I got to know Ms. Maria and the crew. I did get to meet one of the other moms who had the same situation and they had exactly the same positive experience at this school for many months now. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nurturing, warm place for your kids to enjoy spending their time at the daycare. It is a hidden gem. They just recently opened a new building and my son is in it. I believe they have more openings because of thay

I picked up on that instantly, and the second I'm trying to tell this man in real time over the phone. The severity of the issue and that I've never experienced nothing like this with none of my other children and in this time of despair and what does he do hangs up on me very unprofessional and very rude. So then I call back! I asked to speak with him and of course he's not going to own up to doing this. He says he had to hang up because of My Son I'm like yeah OK anyways that being said I'm not a dummy, I'm like wow for you to be in the field of education and dealing with children with special needs, you need to learn how to have some compassion that's all I'm saying and how is it that a person like me that has no experience in his field how do I know how to handle people. Because when I called back and explained to him in a professional but also I had a little sternness in my voice because I didn't appreciate that. I'm like you know why did you hang up on me this is rude and very unprofessional and at such at time like this and I just told him "I'm like from now on you'll be dealing with his father and you have a blessed day ". I told him to have a blessed day and goodbye That's the correct way to end a phone conversation is with goodbye not just a blatantly rude hang up so it's just mind-boggling like I said a person like myself with no experience in the field of education can properly handle a phone conversation with being amicable and have professionalism opposed to a person that's in that field, handle it the complete opposite from what I really would've expected someone working in this field. And this isn't the first run in that I've had with this principal so that's why at this point I'm voicing my concerns as this should be looked into. Thank you. Side note I hope my children don't get picked on by him now due to this accurate review.
