I can't say enough good things about the owner of this company and his techs. They were right there…read morewhen I had a time crunch on closing a house and a last-minute issue in the ductwork caused by a crawl space mold-abatement project by a different contractor. They checked it out and took care of it, at some cost to their schedule, I"m sure. I was able to close on time, thanks to them! Throughout the process they kept me informed of both the cost and the progress, and the costs were very reasonable. Finally, their accounting and notification systems are amazing. I received an email about what the tech was going out to look at, based on my explanation of the problem before he got there. When the tech went to the truck after his work, I got an email with the analysis and the bill, which I could pay online right then, or later if I wished. The whole process worked not just like clockwork, but like a very expensive Swiss watch. Or a lunar landing. And, they were pleasant, forthcoming about what was likely wrong, and also frank about what they couldn't say until they saw the problem. They treated me as if I had a brain and was likely able to understand what they told me. They believed what I said. All in all, this was a great experience, with great people of great integrity, a great notification and billing system, and, of course, they fixed the problem. I had used TNT before for a general maintenance call, mainly because I love their logo. They were great then, too. Didn't overcharge me, and when I called to see if they needed to come back for the fall, they said no, I was done. No point in paying for that, they said. And they were right! I recommend TNT without reservation. Wish I had known about them years before! R Culbertson

Sean came out today - on a holiday weekend - in extreme heat and fixed our AC that had stopped working - same day. He had it fixed in no time. This company has never let us down. In March, we contracted with S&K to remodel our kitchen and lay down a new floor on our first…read morefloor. The delivery of kitchen cabinets were the primary driver to begin the process which were delivered in early April. The contract required the remodel to be completed between four and five weeks. On 22 April, the contractor began demolition which continued sparely throughout the week. On that Friday (25 April) we believed that the project would continue to move forward throughout the next week (the week of the 28th). Since no one showed up Monday morning, we contacted S&K and were told that nobody would be onsite Monday and Tuesday with no explanation. This practice continued off and on throughout the project which culminated in over 2 weeks of days when nothing was accomplished. This resulted in the period of performance to balloon from 4 to 5 to over 7 weeks. One of the outrageous claims was for 2 days that they didn't work because an unwarranted claim regarding my wife's heath. It appears that S&K is in need of significant improvement in the following areas: Communication: between the customer (not updating project process unless asked) and the S&K employees (arriving on site with no idea of current arrangements). Project Management: As described above, the project experienced many unproductive days. S&K does not seem to understand "project work arounds" when certain areas cannot be accomplished but other parts can. Quality Control: All project discrepancies/issues (plumbing, electrical and drywall) were identified by the customer and not S&K. S&K supervision never checked on site project status nor the quality of the work...both S&K and trade vendors.

They took pride in their work, cleaned up after with a big magnet thing to take up the nails and used a blower at the very end. They had one guy on the ground the entire time picking up trash etc. We also had three skylights replaced and they were mindful of the inside of my house and helped me place my drop clothes. We have had a lot of issues with our roof over the past 7 years when we got a brand new roof (shingle over shingle) and a few things I have learned: 1. ONLY go with a roofing company, not a business that does roofs, additions etc 2. Ask who will be working on your home and how long they have been working for the company. The guys at Lounsbury roofing have been working for the company for at least 10 years. We had other general contractors come over and they had young kids put our shingles on they they did it incorrectly and we got leaks. 3. Never put shingles on top of shingles but rather always tear off all your shingles so you can see if their is any damage to the plywood. 4. Eric personally knows all the folks that are working on the home. Every aspect of the home was beautifully planned and built. Spartan has building your custom home down to a very fine science all while giving very individual/personal service and extra attention to detail. They get an A+++ or a 10+ all the way!! As a company who one would hire to advocate for them in making a home purchase, the home inspection was done extremely poorly, and when showed pictures and other evidence to support the claim, their response was liken to " we do the bare minimum in our inspections". We had water damage in our master bathroom, due to a leaking toilet, leaks in the kitchen sink, even when Alex R. came to look at the issues he accused me of manipulating issues in the sink, a dryer vent hooked up to nothing, wood decking that had dry rot, that they could not see due to snow. So knowing that there was snow on the ground and the roof, the roof was not inspected by this company, one would think that knowledge of snow would maybe make them think that rescheduling would be beneficial, but no. I have spoken to other inspection professionals, they use thermal imaging cameras in order to find water damage to protect their clients. I reminded him about the rotted wood, and he suggested we reschedule for the following Monday. I told him I no longer trusted him to do the work since he couldn't be on time to complete the job on the agreed upon date. He suggested we "let cooler heads prevail." I replied my decision stands. Then he texted a screenshot of his $8.2M portfolio.
