Our church experienced some changes over the last seven years. We were blessed with a new pastor and his wonderful family several years ago. Thank you Lord for the new and wonderful things you have brought to us at BC Home Church. Praying continually for our growth, ministry, community services, Pastor Kevin & assisting Pastor Vic and their family, along with all the special brothers & sisters who have come here to this house of worship for our Lord.

I gave up on attending local churches years ago. over that time, I grew in my knowledge of Christ,…read moreand He became my all in all. I do not care for religiousness, as I could never please those who boast of their own righteousness. Jesus loves me, the Father who sent him to save me to the uttermost loves me too. The Holy Spirit has spread that love of theirs abroad in my heart. But Christ does have a Body- His Church. Every member of Him has a needful place and purpose. He fits each one into it for the edification, comfort, and building up of the Body. I wanted to get connected to it, but this time, for glorifying Him, not me. when you serve others "as unto Him", then it no longer matters about your own acceptableness. so Sunday I was on my way to the grocery store, and I noticed the cars pulling in for church. before I knew it, I too was pulling into a church parking lot. I went in, first time at what I thought was the relocated Assembly of God church on Adam's. The worship was Christ focused! The Gospel of Christ's victory over sin and death for us all, His Life in glory now being freely imparted to us by His Spirit was the focus in the communion and in the Word preached. It was obvious Jesus was the treasure there, freely being offered to all without condition. I was amazed to find such an "alive in Jesus" church in this little nice town. all I can say is if your heart is for Jesus and His Love for you, then ask the Lord where He would place you into His Body. Jesus is coming for a church that glories in Him. Be glorified in your church, Lord Jesus! I think I have discovered my Home Church..... that name surely fits! if you want to encounter Jesus, He surely is there in the midst of them.

They do not worship Joseph Smith, nor would they think of replacing the bible with the Book of Mormon. They study each equally. This is a Christian church that I have found to be very loving. Was Satan the brother of Jesus? Why would members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints think such a thing? Mormons believe that God created all of us as spirits, including Jesus and Satan (otherwise, where did Satan come from?) There are no spirits that are not brothers and sisters. Satan rebelled, and lost the opportunity to come to earth and receive a physical body. But he is our brother, the same as Jesus. People who quote this out of context are being misleading and unkind. Mormonism is not a cult: 1) Non-members are welcome, and investigating and questioning are very much respected with no pressure. 2) Members are never shunned if they question or sin. Only VERY serious sins can result in being excommunicated, and the member is still very much welcome and encouraged to participate as they work with their Bishop to repent and be welcomed back (re-baptized) as a member. 3) Tithing is optional, though to attend certain services in the temple require that a full tithe is paid. This is a private thing, so only your Bishop and his assistants know. This is no pressure to pay tithing, and asking for more money, assets, etc. does not ever happen. 4) There is an orderly way of installing new leaders that is not based upon a cult of personality. 5) Missionaries who sign up for the two year period of finding new members pay their own way. This is completely voluntary, though it is encouraged. This is the closest I have seen to anything that might be a subtle pressure. 6) Gay people are no longer shunned. They are welcome. There has been some healing and bridge building between gay and other members. They are still considered to be sinners though. This is just a few of the ways that "Mormonism" is not a cult.
