As well as marriage counseling I saw her for personal sessions too. She helped me through a lot of difficult things experienced throughout my life and make sense of them now in my adult years. In the two years that we saw her we had a lot of individual growth and growth within our relationship. We learned skills not only for communication with one another but healthy boundaries. Before counseling with her I was in a depressed state, and taking out my anger on my husband and it was deeply affecting our marriage. Since learning the communication skills with each other we are a lot closer and happier! She was fun and silly and made each session worth the time and money spent. All around Kerreen is a wonderful woman and I have no idea where we would be if we hadn't decided to start our counseling sessions with her. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Kerreen and we will miss you!

She Changed My Life for the Better!…read more I started therapy with Kerreen over four years ago to save my marriage and change my husband. I didn't realize that it was me who really needed to change and by changing so did my husband. I didn't know what healthy boundaries were or even how to enforce them. I was mean, volatile and very unpredictable to be around. I was physically sick and it was all due to the stress I was holding onto and not knowing how to cope with it. I didn't want a therapist who was going to tell me what I wanted to hear. I wanted a therapist who would teach me how to become a functioning healthy adult. I feel that Kerreen has walked me through that growth period. It didn't happen over night and it took a lot of work on my part and a lot of patience on my spouses part. Today,I feel that I am finally able to communicate as an adult. I keep healthy boundaries and I respect myself more than I ever have in my life. I have a great relationship with my husband and children. I can interact with my family without being taken advantage of. I know who I am and what I want in my life. I am a current client of Kerreen because I can always be better and my children deserve a parent who's goal is to guide them to become healthy, happy adults. SS - San Diego

Go elsewhere! The therapists are students, not licensed therapists. And I could overlook this if…read morethe student, this case Hailee, was competent, but she was NOT. So I called Salt to obtain services for my son and spoke with Hailee. I asked if Salt was an "in network" provider for obvious reasons. Instead of finding out the answer to that question or transferring me to someone who could answer that question, Hailee insisted I fill out paperwork and make an appointment first, while insurance gets verified. I found this to be strange but proceeded with the process of giving her all my contact info, answering private questions about my son, filling out extensive paperwork which consisted of consents, questionnaires, billing info, insurance info, and contact info. When I did not hear back from Hailee by the end of Friday, I called back on Monday to get my simple question of whether or not SALT was an "in network" provider with my insurance. Hailee (instead of answering) then instructed me to bring my insurance card the day of my appointment to find out. I reminded her that when we spoke Friday, I needed insurance verification prior to the appointment so that I was aware of my financial obligation because I did not want to be surprised with an outrages bill. I also made her aware that the website costs states $150 per session and so verifying insurance (like with any doctors appointment) is important PRIOR to services. Hailee then reassured me (again) that she would get insurance verification prior to the appointment on Wednesday (2 days from when we were speaking). Based Hailee's poor communication skills I began to question if she would be qualified to handle my sons needs. I expressed my concerns to Hailee, but Hailee reassured me her supervisor would be present and overseeing the therapy and to just come in for the initial visit to determine if it was the right fit or if they needed to refer my son to someone else after the initial visit. Tuesday comes and still NO word on insurance verification. I called at 9am and Hailee called me back at 4:57pm to tell me she decided on Monday (the day before) that my son was out of her scope and I should go somewhere else. I asked her why she didn't contact me immediately on Monday when this was decided and she would not answer me but only responded by saying "sorry for the inconvenience." I also asked her if I was in network and she then said "I don't know because I don't handle that." I asked Hailee why she told me repeatedly that she would verify insurance when she had no intention of doing so and again she did not answer but restated "sorry for the inconvenience." I asked Hailee why she would waste my time having me fill out paperwork prior to determining if it was the right fit and she did not answer and kept replying with no sincerity "sorry for the inconvenience." I spoke with Lily and explained how unprofessional Hailee was and Lily actually made me feel heard and sincerely apologized on Hailee's behalf. As a former healthcare professional, I would NEVER treat a potential patient with such disregard. Obtaining therapy for yourself or your child is a vulnerable process and Hailee wasted my time and clearly picked the wrong major if she lacks sincerity, basic communication skills, and honesty.
