This church is a rare find and a very special place. It may not look as fancy or big as other…read morechurches but what it offers is worth so much more than an attractive exterior. Pastor Mike teaches the word of God beautifully, explaining the texts without adding or taking away from it. There's no political agenda here, nor is there any adjusting what he teaches in fear of offending anyone. It's merely the Bible being taught and explained in a simple manner so that there's no confusion. Take it or leave it. But if you have questions, you always have the opportunity to speak with the pastor afterwards and he happily addresses any questions or concerns as they come. The people here are incredibly kind and make you feel welcome the minute you step inside regardless of if it's your first time or you're a regular. There are many walks of life filling their pews and a variety of personalities who might never have gotten to know one another because they're all so different but the one thing they have in common is a desire to learn more about God... and that's beautiful.

My family and friends joined me for services at Temple Judea last weekend and -- it was so…read moreinteresting having the opportunity to see my synagogue through their eyes -- that I had to write my first ever Yelp review of a house of worship. Jewish and Christian first time visitors alike commented that they have never felt so welcomed, experienced such a positive energy and learned so much at a Shabbat service. They loved the children's choir, they loved the of Cantors' music (yes, there were more than one), they loved interplay between the three Rabbis and they felt uplifted and educated. While most people know that Jew and Christian alike praise God by chanting Hallelujah, it struck me how many people after the service said they have never had so much fun shouting Hallelujah and learning that it is an English transliteration of the Hebrew words for "praise" and "God." Seeing Temple Judea through their eyes was a welcome reminder that I should never take this special place for granted.
