Not "realize God." Not on demand. And not because a room scheduled a weekly slot. God-realization, if the phrase means anything at all, is not a walk-in service. The line treats the hardest, least verifiable claim in religion as if it were a membership perk. "Ultimate form of Divine Bliss" is not an argument. It is a brand slogan. Other traditions make the same absolute claim for other names, other forms, other methods. The copy does not defend its exclusivity. It just capitalizes it and hopes you will not notice that "ultimate" is doing all the work. Then: "WHAT WE DO. We gather weekly to practice Bhakti Yog." You gather weekly. That is what you do. Calling it Bhakti Yog does not make a community meeting into a completed spiritual science. Weekly attendance is a calendar habit. Millions of people gather weekly for sermons, potlucks, sports, and committee meetings. None of that is evidence that anyone is approaching the divine. It is evidence that someone booked a room. "We do kirtan (chanting of God's names) to engage the mind in thinking of Radha Krishna." Chanting names engages the mind in chanting names. That is the entire mechanism, and the copy pretends it is a precision instrument. Repetition can soothe, excite, bore, or hypnotize. It can also become a loop that substitutes for thought. "Thinking of Radha Krishna" is the advertised result; the actual result is often people singing the same lines until the hour is over. If chanting were a reliable method for God-realization, the world would already be full of realized beings and short on people still printing recruitment paragraphs. "We come from all walks of life, from many varied backgrounds. We are students, children, parents, working professionals and retirees." This is the most honest sentence in the piece, and it is still empty. You have described a demographic cross-section of any suburb. Students, children, parents, workers, retirees: that is not diversity of insight. That is "people exist." The line is there to sound inclusive while smuggling in the next claim--that this ordinary mix shares a rare spiritual hunger. "We all share the desire to grow closer to God." Desire is not attainment. Shared desire is not proof of a method. A room full of people who want to be closer to God is not a miracle. It is a target market. The blurb never shows that anyone got closer. It never defines "closer." It never explains how you would know if you were farther away and merely enjoying the music. It just asserts a common longing and treats that as the product. Everything here is wrong in the only way that matters for a public claim: it presents assertions as facts. It is not a place "where anyone" can realize God. It is a place where people can sit, sing, and be told that sitting and singing is the path. Radha-Krishna as "the ultimate form of Divine Bliss" is a sectarian preference dressed up as metaphysics. Weekly gathering is not a unique practice. It is logistics. Kirtan does not automatically "engage the mind" in the divine. It engages the mind in sound, group rhythm, and whatever story the organizers attach to it. "All walks of life" is filler. It tells you nothing about the teaching, the leadership, the demands, or the results. A shared desire to grow closer to God is the premise of almost every religious flyer ever printed. It is not a distinguishing achievement. The writing is the giveaway. It does not argue. It does not qualify. It does not admit uncertainty. It piles sacred nouns on top of ordinary activity until the ordinary activity looks holy. That is advertising, not description. The ladies who lead the satsang were very nice, kind, approachable, and welcoming. I felt really comfortable and happy to be there despite it being my first time for satsang. There were teachings shared by the guru that I really enjoyed: He talked about how constantly reviewing the lessons/teachings in our minds and also putting it to practice in our daily lives is essential for our spiritual growth. I also enjoyed the kirtan chanting and singing, puja, and arti as well. Through all these practices during the satsang, I really felt the love, devotion, and spiritual connection amongst those in the room. Although I have practiced Kirtan before, the singing via Hindi language was a little difficult for me. But, I liked and appreciate that they had a book with English translation to go with the Kirtan. Everyone looked really happy to be there and I loved the energy so much! Also, their altar of Krishna and Radha is so beautiful! In addition, I bought a book called The Philosophy of Divine Love and I'm looking forward to reading it All in all, I'm happy that I found this place. And I'm looking forward to visiting again! 10/10

From the pillars and domes to the smallest decorative details, there is something beautiful to notice everywhere. The spacious grounds and lotus-shaped reflection pond add to the peaceful and uplifting atmosphere. More importantly, this is an active place of worship that offers a quiet space for prayer and reflection. Visitors should remove their shoes where required and respectfully follow the guidelines regarding silence and photography. The entire complex is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff and volunteers are courteous, welcoming and always available to answer questions about the Mandir, Hindu traditions or visitor etiquette. Shayona is also worth visiting before leaving. It offers vegetarian meals along with a huge collection of Indian sweets, dry snacks, namkeen and other packaged foods. The food is great quality, and the service is consistently friendly and efficient. A beautiful place to experience faith, Indian culture, extraordinary craftsmanship and community in Southern California.

The temple is founded by HSH Paramahansa Nithyananda, and he personally inaugurated the temple so the energy and space is very very healing and calming. The temple rituals are awesome, I recommend visiting on Saturday morning to watch Venketeshwara being bathed. The temple offers many programs including daily teachings and courses online. Free Yoga is available. Free very tasty food is available. Nithyanandas teachings about enlightenment are the extraordinarily powerful, and life changing.

Disappointing Welcoming Experience…read more While the temple itself is a peaceful and sacred place, the experience at the front reception unfortunately takes away from that serenity. The lady working at the reception desk consistently appears frustrated and unwelcoming whenever visitors enter. A temple is a place of peace where everyone should feel welcome. However, her attitude makes it feel less like a public place of worship and more like you are walking into her private home uninvited. A little warmth and a welcoming demeanor from the front desk would go a long way in preserving the respectful and positive atmosphere this temple deserves.

We've ended up visiting Siva Kameswari Temple in Costa Mesa a couple of times, and each visit brings a sense of peace. Parking is free, which is convenient, and sometimes you even get to hear live traditional music being played inside, adding to the spiritual vibe. Another unique touch is its location--right next to Santa Ana airport--so you can watch planes land up close. If you have kids, they might especially enjoy that part.
