Amy said she would work with a sliding scale fee. She never did. In fact, she charged full price while taking my insurance. She also stated that she confirmed appointments on my machine (which I verified that she didn't) and when I did not pay for those missed appointments due to her lack of truthfulness upfront, she ended up filing a lawsuit when I was out of town dealing with my father's death. I didn't get the notice of the court date until it was past the deadline to defend my case. So by law I am forced to pay for her filing fees, her negligence, her untruthfulness and her lack of honesty. She appears to be genuine, caring and knowledgeable. When what she does is charge full price over $125/hour to play dolls with my child on the floor. The one good piece of advice I received was to sit and play with my daughter like she does. She gets one star for that. In this time of economic hardship for everyone, Amy Stoeber, someone who should be principled in ethics working with clients, not against them, ought to understand when claiming that she would use a sliding scale, should follow through. I can only wish her the best ahead. This summer I spent with my daughters and dealt with the wreckage of my passing father's life. What a life we all lead.
