It did for a number of years, until Card Factory opened up nearby, as it was the cheapest place to buy cards in Staines. It's not a huge shop but there is quite a lot in there so it's worth a rummage round even if you're not looking for anything specific. They do a good range of wrapping paper, gift boxes and so on. Their range of cards is similar to other local card shops, but they do a cheaper range in which you can often find what you need. Recently they've started stocking dress up outfits - for hen nights etc - and a lot of people seem to buy them. The staff are quite friendly, but you rarely see the same person twice, so turnover must be quite high.

They do have a small selection of sale items, and some of them make a good gift. There does always seem to be a member of staff available to help you if needed, and the quality of the products are very good. As it is based in the Beckton Retail park they have a lot of parking available. There is many other shops in the area for you, including a large Tesco.

The shop is a business of the Mother's Union charity (hence "M U Enterprises") and if you are ever in need of a handy place in the Horseferry Road/Parliament area for cards and things, this is a good place to come and support. Alternatively the nearby Church of England bookshop on Great Smith Street (opposite the Cinnamon Club) sells cards too but not gifts.

It sells a great variety of cards, in particular a good selection of cards for special occasions like anniversaries, leaving cards etc. It also has an eclectic selection of gifts, including some funky stationary, childrens toys and home ware. The stock seems to change quite frequently, and they have some really unusual items, so it is well worth it popping in. I have had to stop myself visiting at the end of the month, when I am broke, because I always end up buying things

That said, it has a decent selection of books if you're after something mainstream, and there's a good selection for children. One thing I do like about the shop is that the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and always happy to give advice.
