I'm writing this review to warn other guests, particularly African American families, about the…read moretreatment we received at this hotel during our stay from Thursday, November 14th to Sunday, November 16th, 2025. The Good: The housekeeping staff was excellent. The assistant manager and the woman who checked us in on Thursday evening were professional, courteous, and immediately began working to resolve a significant billing error where my card was overcharged multiple times (prompting my bank's fraud department to call me). They assured me the issue would be fully resolved at checkout. The Unacceptable: On Friday night, a staff member (an older white woman) made racist comments about my brother-in-law, calling him "intimidating" and "scary" while he was simply having a normal conversation with his mother in the lobby. Her reasoning? She didn't like their "tone of voice," despite no argument or raised voices occurring. On Sunday at checkout, while confirming the refund status, ANOTHER racist employee--who apparently has worked there for 10 years--became aggressive, yelled at me, and threatened me. She then locked herself in the office and called the police on me rather than calling the manager for assistance. A maintenance worker had to contact the manager instead to help deescalate her rage when I asked her to please call someone to get some help or explain to her what I was saying. Before locking herself in the office to call the police on me instead of her manager, she oddly mentioned her brother was a bank manager, as if that somehow meant she couldn't make mistakes or did not need help with this particular issue. She did not seem to understand the term "reconciliation" as it applies to billing. When the manager finally called her, she stormed out of the office and violently shoved the phone in my face, which was genuinely frightening. The manager confirmed the billing error and processed the refund before I left. I told him that the police were currently in the parking lot and I can only assume that they came so quickly because she lied about what was really happening. I requested to speak with him again about the staff member's behavior, but have been unable to reach him since. Bottom Line: THIS IS DANGEROUS BEHAVIOR AND HIGHLY DISTURBING. I have never been treated so poorly in any hospitality setting, and I have never had the police called on me. The racist treatment we received from staff members on Friday and Sunday was traumatizing and completely unacceptable. While some staff members were wonderful, I WILL NOT recommend this hotel due to the presence of employees who should not be working in customer service nor with the general public at all. To the excellent housekeeping staff and assistant manager: I'm sorry you work alongside people who bring such disgrace to your profession. I strongly advise everyone, but especially African American families to avoid this establishment. I am working to reach out to their corporate office for further resolution as this cannot stand. UPDATE: Clld twice, left messages with "Amanda", either she does not pass on the messages, or Mr. Patel is refusing to call me back. Leaving reviews on Yelp to add to my social media posts and I am going to reach out to corporate so that they are aware of how their franchise is operating. I will also continue to post until Mr Patel and I have resolved my concerns about the safety of all guests no matter who they are or what they look like.

The young lady at the desk was as helpful as she could be under the circumstances. There was what appeared to be body fluids (blood, not rust) on the sheets, the toilet paper dispenser was falling out of the wall, as was the smoke detector. A lamp had no plug to be plugged into, there were stains on the carpet that made me feel as though I should keep my shoes on at all times. Broken auto glass in the parking lot was not reassuring either.

That being said, I will never do that again. First off, it took entirely too long to check in for a place that is in the middle of nowhere and not busy at all. So we go to the room and first impressions gave the feeling of a motel in the movies that always have bad things happening in them. We walk in the room and the disgust just keeps amplifying. The carpet is old and filthy and does not even look to be secured properly by the walls. The ceiling fan looks as though it has never been wiped down as it is caked with dust and grime. There is an ironing board....with no iron as advertised. Now the good part...let's move to the bathroom. As you walk in you can smell the musty moldy room. The ceiling is covered with dark mold and is cracked and peeling all over. The sink is also crazy dirty, almost like we are being pranked or something. The shower also had a wonderful surprise, left behind soap from the previous guest. As we were looking around, we saw a roach crawling up the door. I have never seen so much filth in a commercial setting. If it was not so late we would be leaving and heading to a different place to stay. If I can save anyone from this filth then it's worth it to me to write all this.. I hardly ever leave reviews but this seemed necessary.
